The Pope's Visit to the USA

Even though I am Lutheran, I know what an exciting week this will be for my Catholic brothers and sisters in Christ here in America. I just want to pray for all of you God’s blessings during this special time. I also pray for Pope Benedict’s safety and the Holy Spirit’s guidance in his message.

I honestly can’t wait to see what happens while he is here. Though I am Lutheran, I really like Benedict. I have read about him, and I really admire his intellect and humility. I especially admire the man’s courage; to say what he has said about militant Islam takes guts. I certainly hope his trip here is a safe one, and I hope he is able to help spark a revivial and renewal throughout Christian America.
 
Fox News did an hour program on the upcoming trip by the Pope. We thought the program was pretty good. I hope there will be a lot of coverage of his trip, and I am looking forward to viewing as much as possible, since we cannot travel to see him.

Hi Rocky,
Foxnews did say a week or so ago they will be having extensive coverage on the Pope’s visit. There is a priest who will be giving the updates.👍

Not to gloat, but I’m going to the seminary{St Joseph’s, Dunwoodie} with our youth group. Please pray [that] the teens whose arms we twisted 😉 to attend will receive the grace they need to pursue their faith and those that are going willingly, deepen their relationship with Christ. Oh, and please pray for the adult leadership who need more than those they lead! :yup:

Well, I have had a somewhat perpetual smile on my face since I learned we would be in attendance. I’ll never forget the feelings I had attending Mass at Shea Stadium with John Paul II when I was but a young lad…
 
I am praying for his safety and his message during his visit.
