The Pope's words on Islam

There is no need to hunt down the pope. He lives in Vatican City in the papal apartments. Every pope since ‘don’t know when’ has lived there.

Actually, I have, and I’m open to sources showing an institutional policy of killing non-converts.

This would seem to be a baffling revelation, considering that in the Muslim heartlands, there remain millions of non-Muslims dating all the way back to pre-Muslim times.
 
It’s to do with the renowned Muslim so-called tolerance of other religions -i.e. 9:29. The practise of other faiths is permitted as long as they are subjugated and humiliated and forced to pay the jizyah. What’s the problem?

This is killing me.

All this talk about offending muslims. Before credence should be given to anyone claiming to be offended, it is necessary to find out if what was said is accurate. If it is, then the fault lies with the offended. Most of what I see being said about muslims is true, so their being offended holds no water with me. I don’t care at all if they are offended when people say thier religion is not a religion of peace. It’s not. Pure and simple. It’s obvious. And no, I don’t care if this offends anyone. It’s true, therefore it’s their guilt that offends them, not me.

People can try to refute this all they want. I’ve heard it for years. It does not change history. Not only have muslims been calling for war, they’ve been trying to force it. For centuries. Not months, not decades, but centuries. That’s hundreds of years, folks. You just can’t argue with that.

And this BS about islamic leaders condemning terrorism? Are we on the same planet? It’s legal to kill someone who speaks out against islam over there! The whole damn country of Iran has spoken through their leader that they want to eradicate the Jewish people!

I’ve had enough. I give no quarter to muslims. They have declared themselves my enemy and I will regard them as such. As someone eluded to ealier, it is the inaction of good men that allows evil to prevail.

So tell me, how do you plan to “treat them as your enemy” in your daily life there in San Jose, where there are surely plenty of places to find Muslims?

How are you doing to “take action”, good man, to prevent evil from prevailing?
 
I think saying that all muslims are enemies are being a little bit too overreacting. The people who reagrd us as enemies are the extremists but not all muslims are extremists. Frankly, I disagree with many of their teachings but I don’t think the actions of the extremists can be attributed directly to the Muslim doctrine. Yes, they do it for their faith, but wasn’t Hitler sort of had the same wrong conviction in his Catholic faith during the second World War?
Please correct me if I’m wrong. I’m not a religious scholar anyway.

I agree with you about Muslims – they’re not all extremists, but their religion does allow for what we would consider extremist behavior, so any Muslim can choose to act upon those teachings and feel justified in what he is doing because it’s in their holy book.

As for Hitler, he was an apostate Catholic who had thousands of Catholic priests put to death in his concentration camps and millions of Catholic lay people killed. He definitely wasn’t acting from Catholic faith!

Forced conversion to Islam? Well recently Islamic leaders demanded the Pope convert to Islam or be killed. That was last week. At www.persecution.org you can find plenty more. Or www.bpnews.net/bpnews.asp?ID=10796 for a personal story. Do not expect pro or any Muslim to apologize or acknowedge that there is anything wrong with this.

We can take action against this in our communities by posting such information and opposing people like pro who justify terrorism and groups like hezbullah. If we make it clear we oppose the Islamic jihad then we will win this war. We refuse to be good little dhimmi’s.
 
I am going to take a break from posting for awhile. I hope I made my point during my brief return. I only did so because of the Pope controversy. I believe this was the opening shot of the ongoing jihad on our Church. The Muslims will not be satisfied until we are dhimmi. I am proud that the Pope told the truth and did not apologize for it. It is the Muslims who owe us an apology for their horrible violent behavior. Until I see such demonstations against the Islamic terrorists I will not believe that Islam means peace. It is up to the Muslims to reform their faith, to take a stand, and to stop their violence. I haven’t seen it yet. I don’t think I will. Do not let them get away with their double standards. Demand reciprocity for Christians and pray for the Christians being persecuted by Islam.

Have no unbelieving friends. Kill the unbelievers wherever you find them. 4:89​

Sounds like a pretty clear warrant for killing unbelievers to me.

Well, we could call all Muslims to convert to a REAL Religion of Peace rather than to continue to profess their faith by violence in the tradition of Islam…that might be a place to start.😃

I read the text of Benedict XVI’s 9-12-06 University of Regensburg lecture from the Vatican website.

The lecture is very interesting. However, the single example which discussed the incompatibility of faith and violence involved Islam.

There are many other examples which could have been used. It is not clear why an old quote about a discussion on Islam was used in the lecture. It is not clear how this fosters better dialogue between Catholics and Muslims.

Violence is not a commodity exclusively employed by professed Muslims or by professed Catholics or by professed Christians.

Christians would possibly reject the idea that cross-burners represent the norm of the faith.

However, without relationships and discussions with ordinary Muslims who may be neighbors, co-workers, friends and relatives, one is left to use research and imagination to visualize the nature of Muslim people.

Benedict XVI has stated his respect for Muslims. I think he is sincere in seeking productive dialogue with Muslims.

The struggle seems to be that of pitting learning, respect and patience against anger, contempt and violence.

May GOD grant us Peace.

Don’t try playing this little guilt trip thing on everyone now. I am so sick of it! Muslims are slaughtering and oppressing people around the globe, and their supposedly “moderate” bretheren don’t so much as blink an eye. Yet when the pope mentions their religion in a speech, then HOW DARE HE??!! So then the Muslims everywhere unite and protest against their perceived right to not ever have to be offended in any way. Give me a freakin’ break!!
