I’m curious how many converts came into the church after April 15th 2000 at the institution of the Feast Of Divine Mercy? I am also intersted in hearing from anyone who has felt a calling to either return to the church in the past few weeks or those considering converting and how this has/is coming about. Thanks!

Yesterday at our Divine Mercy celebration we heard a witness talk from someone who credits Divine Mercy with his conversion. As a young man he had made lots of wrong choices, had “bottomed out,” was feeling suicidal, made a desperate prayer to a God he wasn’t sure existed, went to make a phone call, found a Divine Mercy holy card in the phone booth. The address on the back of the card led him to the help and conversion he needed. He is now a Franciscan monk.

Praise God! He works in so many ways.

I was on the phone yesterday afternoon with the gentleman who intiated and operates the Apostles of Divine Mercy (since I intend on becoming just such an apostle, God willing!) - and during our conversation, he remarked about how JPII actually left for his heavenly reward on the vigil of Divine Mercy Sunday. While most people probably know this, the fact which astonished me is that it was only a couple weeks prior that I decided to become Catholic. I always associated my conversion with JPII’s death, and I will always feel a special affinity towards him: as he left us, I came into the Church. Now my conversion will always be associated with Divine Mercy, as well…

Awesome, Gods timing and mercy are truely astounding! It seems there have a been a multitude of conversions since the initiation of the feast:)

He is now a Franciscan monk.
Just to clairfy (sorry, I’m a hair spliter) Franciscan’s are Friars, Benedictines are Monks 😉

I have to credit the Divine Mercy, particularly the chaplet, as having a great deal to do with my “reversion.” I’d love to type more, but words don’t do it justice.👍

My girlfriend has been praying the Divine Mercy and prayed for the Lukewarm catholics.

Amazingly, last weekend, she was invited to go out to lunch with a couple who are non-Christians and invited a Catholic along with them.

The couple was asking my girlfriend about her life journey - they have not met for quite some years now - and my gf said about how she had been baptised and got closer to God.

The friend of the couple who is a Catholic but does not practice the faith much. She didn’t know how to pray the Rosary and Divine Mercy. Well, she was so asking my g/f many questions about Catholic faith and wanted to learn how to pray the Rosary and Divine Mercy.

My g/f had with her the pamphlets on how to do those two prayers 🙂 The lady now tries to learn how to pray.

My g/f had two other similar situations related to the Divine Mercy. One thing I know, she’s also got me into praying a lot (compared to my past) 😃

Beautiful, there’s alot of this going on now, thank you:)

He was introduced as a friar, and also referred to himself as a monk. I guess he’s not a hair splitter!🙂

The time frame is wrong, I guess. But I returned to the Church in 1995. The first Mass I went to was the Sunday after Easter–Divine Mercy Sunday.

I firmly believe that this timing was not a coincidence. 🙂

Never occurred to me, but so he did! Amazing.

I do love the Divine Mercy devotions, did the novena-confession-communion this year and say the Chaplet (and/or the Litany of the Divine Mercy, which I love as well) almost daily.

I know my sister, who has been away from the Church for years, decided a few weeks ago that she wants to have her nine-month-old little girl baptised, which is a blessing I can quite possibly attribute to the Divine Mercy 👍 I’ll certainly keep praying the chaplet now!

You and me both. 🙂

I’m a convert from Episcopalianism. Thanks be to God I came home to the One True Church. I pray the
divine Mercy Chaplet often. What a tremendous benefit it is! I’ll encourage anyone, Catholic or not, to pray it.

Good reminder to keep little pamphlets like that with us! I have one on preparing for confession in my purse right now. I’ll add some on the Divine Mercy chaplet and parya that I get to share them!

Another good news and I am still praying for more.

My grandma is still living in my country and we believe that she is dying soon. My mom, over here, had her passport expired. She submitted the form to renew it. It is quite late.

Well, she asked me and everybody to pray for her to have the Passport by 17th of this month. We all prayed and I did pray the Divine Mercy for this purpose and the Novena of St. Joseph.

Thanks be to God! The passport came in on the 17th! How amazing is that?

Now, the next step, we prayed for her to get the ticket to go to Vietnam. She’s confirmed her flight will be tomorrow the 19th. 🙂

We are still praying for my mom to make it to Vietnam to see and pray for my grandma.

The rosary, the Divine Mercy and the Novena of St. Joseph are amazing!

I was a lapsed Catholic for most of my teenage years & early twenties & came back to the Church around the time that the late Pope John Paul died. I like to think he had something to do with it.
Only recently, I learned how to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet, praying it for the first time last Sunday. I’ve prayed it twice now & it’s not like any prayer I’ve prayed before. I can’t begin to describe how perfect a prayer it is, it makes me think of God’s infinite mercy. I intend to pray to His Divine Mercy alot more.
Even when one says Jesus,I trust in You. That’s a powerful prayer in itself!👍

I think so too! I have heard stories about people going back to the Church during the time of Pope John Paull II died.

It is particularly strange that when JPII died I found the Church and now have many of the same devotions as he did during his pontificate!

Me as well, the 3 saints that God has powerfully drawn me to are De montfort, Kolbe and Faustina!
