The rosary has so many benefits. I believe the ā€œpowerful armor against Hellā€ is a powerful statement. I mean in all honesty we are all basically trying to NOT go to Hell right? Just google ā€œrosary benefitsā€ and there is a list of 15 confirmed rewards. BTW a nifty website is the
www.comepraytherosary.org

Check it out. I ve struggled with catholocism (Im a cradle catholic) and even atheism at times but I keep praying the rosary and somehow Im very optimistic (didnt start that way šŸ˜‰ )
My favorite rosary site. šŸ‘

ā€œGive me an army saying the Rosary and I will conquer the worldā€ – Pope Pius IX

Yes. Praying the rosary helped me to understand Jesus better and helped me to want to return to His church. I try to pray the rosary daily, if not 4-5 times a week. I’m actually starting a rosary group at church so we can pray the rosary once a week together. Our church has never had a rosary group so I’m so happy to introduce it to people who have never prayed it before.

I pray it regularly, and have been for several years now. Since I started praying it my life seems to have changed quite a bit and I feel different too…less stressed out than I used to be, and less prone to sin too. Sometimes if I go a few days without praying it, I notice that I feel a little more worried about things and just feel more stressed. If I pray the rosary, immediately after (and during actually) I feel peaceful again…and I also notice that when I pray the rosary and ask God that my needs are met, He seems to provide more often than when I used to only just ask quietly through short prayer before bed.

This may sound like a very odd question, but does the Rosary really have power when it is prayed? I still have yet to start my reciting of the Rosary, and I really dont know why. I think because of my lack of faith in the claims of praying the Rosary. I need some help in this area.
Yes the Rosary is a very powerful prayer.

Here are some actual examples.

**An emergency dental appointment **
Jana rang up the dentist and asked for an emergency appointment. She was given one for ll.30 a.m. the next day. She gratefully accepted this, but she really needed one at least an hour earlier, because of another appointment that she had to attend too. She placed a petition note about this under her statue of Saint Philomena, and also wrote out a prayer in her appointment diary, which reads as follows: ā€œMary Help of Christians, pray for us, and come to my aid in this Lepanto situation.ā€ Then Jana started to say the Rosary, (which she offered for the relief of the Holy Souls in Purgatory, and for her other intentions, including obtaining an earlier dental appointment.)

She had just concluded two decades of the Rosary when the phone rang. It was the dental surgery. They had had a cancellation, and were able to give her an appointment an hour earlier than the previous appointment. Jana’s problem regarding the timing of the appointment was solved.

**The bushfire crisis **
Bushfires were headed towards the homes in a mountain area. One of the home owners stood in front of his house, which was in the path of the fire and prayed the Rosary. The wind changed direction and the houses were saved.

Fixing up equipment
We were about to go on our holidays, but three days before we were due to leave, our internet connection failed. My husband got on the phone to tech support. No outage was recorded in our area, and the conclusion was that our modem had ā€œdiedā€.

A technician was booked for after our holiday, well over a week away! I prayed a Rosary for the Holy Souls in Purgatory, and a few hours later, the internet connection was back! The next day, my husband pulled out our car-trailer, which was needed to take our family’s holiday supplies in, and the stop light on it was not working. We would not be able to take the trailer without a working stoplight.

My husband stayed up till nearly midnight trying to fix it, but to no avail. My husband said that we needed a mechanic to fix it. He did not know who to contact about that, and worse still we only had one day left to sort it out. I prayed some prayers for the Holy Souls in Purgatory before going to bed, and in the morning my husband went out and had another try at fixing the trailer stop light and got it to work! (Lydia)

Then there is the 54 Day Rosary Novena

In remission
Dianne’s niece Lee, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Dianne made a 54 day Rosary Novena for a healing. On the last day of the novena, Dianne received in the mail, a letter about a mammogram, that she had a couple of months earlier. It said that there was no cancer present. Dianne took this as a sign, that her niece would be okay. Lee went through chemotherapy and is now in remission. Several years down the track she is still well.

**Employment **
Carmel applied for a position with a particular company. She was informed that there were no vacancies available, so Carmel and her husband made a 54 day Rosary Novena. On the 54th day of the novena, as soon as they had finished saying the Rosary, the telephone rang. The call was from the company to let Carmel know that they had a job for her.

The Rosary is a very powerful prayer. I found that praying the rosary gave me a greater understanding of the life of Christ and of Mary. it gives me great calm and joy when i pray the rosary.

but please understand that the rosary is not a magic charm.

God Bless.

Files retrieved after a computer crash

I prayed fervently for the Holy Souls in Purgatory, particularly the Rosary, following a laptop computer crash, and asked for their intercession to retrieve my emails and files. A few online friends also prayed some Hail Marys for the intention. My husband worked hard at trying to fix up the problem, and even rang Dell for technical support.

That did not bring us the needed help. One of the problems was that the start-up disk was corrupted, and my husband did not know where he could obtain another one. He then thought of the start-up disk for an old computer, which we once had, which has since gone to the one of the council pickups of old electronic equipment. Even though the disk was unrelated to this laptop computer, it worked, and the files were retrieved and safely placed on another laptop. Thank you Holy Souls. (Sharon)

Help with a house sale

My husband is a US Marine, who was transferred to another duty station over six months ago. We are expecting our first baby in July, and it’s been difficult being here without my husband, and without any real friends or family. Money has been tight and we have had the house up for sale for two months, with no success. I was getting worried that I’d have to remain behind by myself and have the baby all alone.

I had been praying to the Holy Souls in Purgatory for help, but felt especially called to pray a Rosary for them today. This evening we got a good offer on our home (and it’s a tough time to be selling!) I am convinced that the Holy Souls in Purgatory are interceding for us. Now I can go and be with my husband and have the baby where he is stationed. I am going to propagate praying for the Holy Souls in Purgatory to all my family. T.K. (USA)

The rosary is what made me a practicing catholic. I was baptised but never raised in catholicism. I didn’t know ANYTHING about the catholic faith or what the rosary was when I started praying it. My friend kept on bugging me about praying it and sending me links about how powerful it was and how to pray it. I ignored the links for a few months until one day I gave in and looked at one or two links and thought the prayers were nice, but I didn’t have a rosary bead. A couple weeks later I found my baptism keepsakes with a rosary. At that moment I knew I had no excuse to not pray it and try it out. The next day it was the very first thing I did. It took me 50 minutes to read through the prayers and directions. By the time I was done I felt a peace like no other and a void had been filled within me. I had a thirst to learn more about catholicism and would spend hours researching about catholicsm on the internet. I did this for a week from Monday through Sunday, praying the rosary and researching catholicism. By Sunday I knew I wanted to sign up for RCIA. …And many of my prayers have been answered, some the second I finished praying it. In fact, my friend asked me to pray for her, so a day or two later I dedicated my rosary to her. A few hours after I had finished we were talking and she was telling me about her day and how well it was going. She even told me the time everything happened and I had to interrupt her to tell her I had prayed for that and finished my rosary at that exact time. And she said, ā€œI told you the rosary is a powerful prayer.ā€ šŸ™‚ The rosary is awesome!

Yes ,the Rosary has a very powerful effect,
I am praying the Rosary for more that 10 years and I have felt her effect many times
on my faith, on what I asked for , on my personal spiritual peace, and protect me from
devil attacks and sins.
Really It works.
The Rosary is my favorite prayer.

It’s the most powerful prayer, after the Mass. And our Lady’s favorite.

Or so I’ve heard. Pax Christi.
The Rosary is very powerful - no doubt - for Our Lady, the Queen of Heaven, whose request her Divine Son will never deny (see the wedding of Cana in the Gospel…note that Our Lord told His Mother that it was not yet His time…yet He fulfilled her request just the same) has lent it her special authority and power…
That being said, I’ve always wondered about this claim. It seems to me to be completely at odds with the clear teaching of the Church that after the holy mass comes the liturgy of the hours/divine office in its various forms…how can a private devotion, even one as powerful as the Rosary, take precedence over the very prayer of the Church, which, according to the General Instructions for the Liturgy of the Hours, is the prayer of Christ Himself which the Church makes her own… on the other hand, the Church teaches that the Divine Office is a mystical outpouring of sorts of the mass…a means of extending the prayer of the mass to sanctify the whole day. When people speak of the Rosary as being the second greatest/most powerful prayer after the mass, perhaps they are using mass as a simplified way of saying ā€œthe liturgy of the Churchā€?

When I got prayed over at our Catholic Newman Center’s Koinonia Retreat, I felt the Holy Spirit come at me with great great great intensity, so then I laid down and continued to pray to the Holy Spirit to change my heart…At least four times during my rest in the Spirit, the image of the Rosary appeared to me, I took that as a sign that I must pray the Rosary more, and take it more seriously.

I am seeing a great change around me, and it can help you concentrate if you pray it daily in front of the Blessed Sacrament.

Through the Rosary, we get to know our Blessed Virgin Mary, and through Her we get to know her Son, Jesus Christ…And Through Jesus Christ, we come to God šŸ™‚

Totus Tuus, Ave Maria!

the rosary is a wonderful prayer and it helps to reflect on on the life of Jesus

My rosary goes everywhere with me – it’s the last thing I check to make sure it’s in my purse when I go out. It’s very important because it was sent to me by my granddaughter whenshe was in Paris several years ago and the medal on it says ā€œNotre Dame de Parisā€.
I say my first 2 decades when I wake up in the morning and have my first cup of coffee – then the 3rd decade after I finish breakfast in front of my computer and EWTN – my 4th decade I say several times when I’m walking in the neighborhood because there are a number of people I pray for – the last decade I say before I turn out the light at night – I LOVE my rosary!!!

I pray the rosary whenever I wake up at night and can’t go back to sleep. It makes me peaceful and I am able to sleep after I say it.

The Rosary is not a superstition that you pray so many times in such and such manner and then magically you get what you want.

The Rosary is looking at Christ through the eyes of His Mother. When praying the Rosary miraculous things will happen in your heart. Your life will become more manageable. You will find that you may not get what you think you want, even if it is a very good thing, but you will discover far more wonderful gifts waiting for you. Gifts that truly satisfy your soul.

I love the Rosary. I don’t pray the Rosary as much as I should but I hold the beads and pray for those whom I love. The Rosary is a wonderful gift in itself.

Well, the Rosary brought me closer to God when I was still a ā€œsoon-to-be ex-Catholicā€, as my mum always made me pray it daily.

In more recent times, in my struggles with my sins and temptations of the flesh, it was the Rosary that helped me fight them. In fact, I realize the days I don’t pray the Rosary are when the temptations are strongest.

Most importantly however, the mysteries of the Rosary help me contemplate my day and my place in God’s Salvation plan, and provide me a role model in dear Mother Mary.

I hope you find in the Rosary the same amount of Divine Beauty and Solace as I did!

Depends on the situation I guess. An example would be the Latin Mass Society of San Diego. Every Sunday for over 20 years a rosary was said either before or after the celebration of the Traditional Form of the Mass wherever it was allowed to be said at that particular time.It was not allowed to be celebrated at any particular Church exclusively and eventually was allowed to use the Chapel at a local cemetery. The rosary was offered to ask for the Blessed Mothers intercession in obtaining a Church where the Mass could be celebrated exclusively.

In 2008 Saint Annes Parish, which had been shut down two years previously due to low and declining attendance was entrusted to the Priests of the FSSP, by Bishop Robert H. Brom, and a fully traditional parish was established which offers among other things two daily Extraordinary Form Masses and five Extraordinary Form Masses on Sundays.

So yes, in some cases the Rosary is most definitely a powerful prayer when the reason is good. It may take a while, but it does work.šŸ‘
