Is there a Hebrew word for God such as “The Powers?”

If I recall it is Elohim.

Is that correct?

Elohim is commonly translated as “God.” It literally is “gods,” as it is in the plural. It is occasionally used to mean “angels.” For more, see the citation on the word from the Brown-Driver-Briggs lexicon.

Do you have a specific citation from Scripture where “the powers” appears? The closest thing I can think of to that would be “El Shaddai,” which means “God Almighty.”
