In Chapter 8, of Sisters Lucia’s book, “Calls” From the Message of Fatima", Sister shares so much with us on the “Call to Prayer”! After speaking of vocal prayer and the importance of Jesus’ words to us: "Pray then like this: ‘Our Father…’ ", Sister goes on to speak of another kind of prayer:

How truly Sister Lucia speaks from her own experience both as a child and as an adult! Like Jesus, of whom St. Luke wrote in his Gospel “Jesus increased in wisdom, age and grace before God and men” (cf Luke 2:52).…we must offer to God, together with vocal prayer…the “prayer of work”, of the performance of all the duties in our state of life in a spirit of humble submission to God, because it was He who imposed on us the law of work…we must endeavor to be aware of God’s presence… we must sanctify our work, our rest, our meals, our wholesome entertainments, as if they were an ongoing prayer…
