actually the story is really all about football. buttercup is the trophy, the four horsemen are from notre dame. the rous’s are a rival football team. westly is a symbol for a beloved notre dame football coach who died. the one they call the gipper.

its a story to teach girls how to understand football.
They failed. I still don’t get football. And I really don’t care.

I love the whole scene when Westley and Inigo have the sword fight. The dialog in that scene is brilliantly funny.
Anyone ever read the book? It’s just as good as the movie.

Have fun storming the Castle!

I too have read the book. Hey i think i am going to take it on my road trip next week and read it again!

SUCH a great movie!!!🙂 🙂 🙂 Favorite quote “This is true love. Do you think this happens everyday?” Lovee it.

Just watched it, and was reminded:

Drop. Your. Sword.
Although there are too many good quotes this is my favorite part of the movie. I love the dialogue leading up to this. Were Wesley tells him how he is going to look after with only ears to hear the babes cry at his hideous looks. Love it!

My second favorite is “My name is Indigo Montoya, you killed my father prepare to die”

How about the albino and his scare voice which only turns out to be a frog in his throat. FUNNY!!!

I didn’t know there was a book I shall check it out and read it this week.

My husband and I are constantly quoting this movie.

The Prince Bride is my all time Favorite movie maybe now it will also be my all time favorite book.

“The first is never get involved in a land war in Asia. The second is never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line.”

“Look who knows so much.”

I love the book. The ending is different, and it is not a happy book. But it is a great book.

“I’ve seen worse.”

“Humiliations galore!”

“Get some rest. If you haven’t got your health, you haven’t got anything.”

“I want my father back, you son of a b****!”

“Life is pain, Highness. Anyone who says differently is selling something.”

“It’s not that bad, really. Not that I’d want to build a summer home here or anything, but…”

“You’re alive…if you want I could fly!”

My husband and I are constantly quoting this movie…
We do to! 😉

My fave is:

**" **NEVER argue with a Sicilian when DEATH is on the line! "

We say it rather often to our argumentative 8 yr. old. 😛

“I can surely *not *choose the glass in front of you”/“I can surely *not *choose the glass in front of me”

"What in the world can that be!?"

“What’s so funny?”
“I’ll tell you in a minute”

😛
