So I was cruising the youtube, and I came across this video from my grandmother’s home diocese. It seems to be one of a series of videos filmed of apparent exorcisms performed by priests in the diocese. Some of them quite public in front of standing room only congregations. I always thought that the rite of exorcism was an extremely personal ritual, equivalent to a the sanctity of the privacy of confession. So is the diocese violating any church teachings by allowing this to be such a public matter and by allowing people to film it?
