Do you ever wonder if all the stupid stuff making headlines today are just a cover story for ‘hiding’ the REAL things taking place in our world?

I have wondered that. It may all be a part of the New World Order agenda.

Not me. The things making the headlines are crazy enough that no conspiracy theories are needed.

I think it all comes back to sin. People want to sin without any guilt. If there is no reality, then people can easily excuse themselves of any fault for their actions. They just claim it doesn’t exist. They can believe whatever they want. Everything is good, so any action they take is good. I always have hope though. I try to do my best in my tiny part of the world and trust in God that it is enough.

There are very important things going on but “the news” has become infotainment, light on the info.

I do research into other fields but the news found there is rarely reported because the goal is to keep people amused and not educated. That way, citizens hear the propaganda and believe in the world the media paints in their minds, as opposed to learning the truth and exploring the issues in depth.

Yes I agree with you, Ive always believed many people today try to justify their sins using bible verses that have twisted and contorted into aligning with their actions, I also think the church is somewhat guilty of this too, mostly for not addressing it as more of a problem that needs to end, but secular goverments may also have a role in this too, after all, what better way to keep a population under control than to regulate what is sinful or not, whats ‘right’ and ‘wrong’, etc etc.

Satan is at the root of this though, he is very intelligent and sneaky, little things like this are no coincidence, anything to draw us further and further away from God works for him.

Ive seen it happen more than once, someone wants to go on sinning, so they find some ‘interpretation’ of a certain verse, and they use that to justify it

Well, Im sure eventually someone will come up with something much more powerful than a nuclear weapon, history shows us as we progress, our methods of killing increase.

In fact, I recently read some of the ‘byproducts’ from the CERN experiments, have resulted in VERY powerful material ( I cant recall the exact name, I think it was something like Stranglets or…??).

They said one tiny drop of this stuff held more energy potential than a nuclear bomb…if they had enough time to work with it, they very well could create a bomb MUCH more destructive than our nuclear weapons.

The USA is a democracy, and its people could easily make the nuclear stand-off with Russia “go away” by electing leaders who would be willing to unilaterally disarm our nuclear weapons.
It is as simple as that.

The USA is not at war with Russia and never has been.

What year were you born? I remember the tanks going up and down the streets of my neighborhood, I remember going into the bomb shelter, and I remember the sirens. I remember “duck and cover” drills. We were at war with the Soviet Union.

The idea that Russia would immediately launch a nuclear attack against the USA the moment it stood down its nuclear weapons of retaliation is just silly.

This isn’t a theory I would ever actually want to test.

The Russians are just as afraid of us as we are of them.

That’s kind of the point.

**I was born in 1944, thank you for asking. Sorry, I don’t remember any tanks in my neighborhood. Perhaps you were living in Eastern Europe. If so you have my sympathy.

Harry Truman started the cold war between the USA and the USSR when he used nuclear weapons on Japan for the primary purposes of intimidating the USSR and forestalling their advances in the far east.
Hindsite is a wonderful thing, and we can now see that what the USA really had to fear from the USSR was their development of nuclear weapons.
The USA had its chance to continue indefinitely as the world’s sole nuclear power, but gave that chance away by using its terrible weapon for political purposes.
That unnecessary use caused a backlash at home, and development of the A-bomb languished. But it caused the USSR to redouble its own efforts to build the bomb.

Now we are faced with a dilemma: give up our nuclear weapons or undergo the ravages of global nuclear war.
I prefer to try to live by our Lord’s admonitions and have my country give up its terrible weapons of vengeance and retribution.
We should be placing our trust in our Creator rather than in ICBMs and SSBNs.
To do otherwise is to insult both our Creator and our Teacher.
