Now don’t get me wrong I am pro-life…but certainly I am also for the rights of women…and sometimes I don’t think society is at all supportive enough to mothers…anyway what do you think of this video? Somehow I kind of feel bad because I haven’t been supportive enough either. And for example if a girl gets pregnant at age 15 sometimes other ppl might judge her or not understand her…when they SHOOULD understand her…or then they would say she is not a responsible parent and thats not fair…also and nothing is said about the father…I don’t think it’s fair at all because -SHE- is the one who suffers. and still people judge her?? 😦

It is fair, because she made the choice to have sex!!! There is no justifying having an abortion. If she isn’t ready or what not, she shouldn’t be having sex than. No one should be supporting woman or girls who decide to have an abortion because they feel bad for them. I feel bad for those who made the decision to have sex , but not because they are pregnant and are deciding to have an abortion. I understand it’s a tough situation for the girl, but which is worse… having someone judge you or killing someone?

I skipped the video because it would take too long.
But as to people judging 15-year-old mothers, I don’t know any pro-life people who would do anything of the kind. The only people I know who would judge a young mother are those who advocate population control.
And the fathers are judged more from what I can see, but no one knows who they are, so the judgment is spread out over all young men and boys.😦 Which is sad, because most young guys aren’t the ones getting girls pregnant. It’s mostly 20-year-old mena dn older who do that. The majority of fathers of the children of teenage girls are more than five years older than the girls are. It’s the abortion industry that covers up for those men and lets them keep abusing girls like that.
Many girls get pregnant on purpose in order to be grown up, emancipated or loved. What if they could get married and find work? What if boys could too? If they can’t care for their children or never wanted them, teenagers can easily arrange adoption. Most adoptive parents are waiting years for a child to become available. Most will take literally anyone. A newborn has a great place in the adoption system – top pick compared to older kids.

Welcome to CAF, Serprillia! 👋 I notice this is your first post.

If you would kindly sum up the arguments in the video and let us know where you agree and disagree, we can better respond to any questions or concerns you might have. In general, threads that begin with “Go to this site and watch this (long) video and tell me what you think” don’t go over too well here, particularly when they are coming from new members. People tend to get defensive as they assume you have only come here to pick a fight and/or “convert” us “dumb Catholics.”

As this is a Catholic site, you can expect to hear a predominantly Catholic perspective. And, for us Catholics, “pro-choice” is not a defensible position in terms of abortion. I have read alot on this issue from both sides. (I once took a philosophy class on the morality of abortion with an atheist, pro-abortion professor.) I have heard many of the common and not-so-common arguments in favor of abortion. I’d be more than happy to discuss the issues with you. 🙂

I watched the video and I completely disagree with her argument and the analogy of the organ donation vs. giving birth…I think the whole thing was ridiculous…The prochoice, prolife argument drives me nuts…maybe b/c I used to be a die hard prochoicer , that was before I knew Jesus…I know it sounds cliche…but if you have Jesus in your heart, there is no way you could be prochoice…When I was proabortion, I had no faith…I never thought anyone would be able to change my view…but someone did…Jesus…

Please, I don’t mean to offend the OP…I’m talking about the video…I do get carried away sometimes on the abortion issue b/c it brings up bad memories…no offense:)

and that is justification for murdering an innocent baby? how?
I know!! I don’t understand why someone should feel sorry for a young girl who made the decision to have sex , and yet wants to have an abortion because she will be judged or is not ready. Well, maybe they shouldn’t be having sex than!!!

There’s a difference between donating an organ and having a baby. Not donating an organ is not the same as physically ending a Life. The point of having an abortion is to kill your own child. The intention is to kill. I seriously doubt there are many people if very few that would intentional not donate their kidney just so somebody can die for spite. It may be a religious conviction, risk assessment, ect… Every woman that chooses to have an abortion is doing so to purposefully kill their unborn child.
