I added that last part because that is what you meant. And clearly my interpretation was correct when it comes to you.
Why is it you think i am not here to help? is it because i disagree with just about every thing you have put forth.
You didn’t read my point.

Scripture says God is not a respecter of persons, here he is doing that.
nor did you answer the questions
Yeah so what that God is not a respecter of persons…What do you mean by ‘here He is doing just that’? .
The proof is simple.

We are here in planet earth, outside of the Garden of Eden.

We are not in heaven.

If God cared about the temporal, what would have happened was that after the resurrection, the gates to the Garden of Eden would have reopened and everyone who was reborn again, was allowed back in.

A long line of people being baptized, and then allowed back into the Garden.

But that never happened.
It never happened because it never was supposed to. it has been explained over and over to you Bob yet you refuse to accept what has been told to you. You are not scoring any points with people here saying we/i should be in the Garden. Nobody is buying your theory Bob. Why is that Bob?
In addition, if people ask God for things that are temporal needs, he cannot refuse, otherwise he does not care about their temporal needs.

A drug addict asks God to be healed of his drug addiction but then falls quickly afterward. Clearly not healed.
An unemployed person asks to get a decent paying job. Doesn’t get it. Clearly got a no.

But God does refuse, and what’s worse, doesn’t explain why. **Fine, that’s his prerogative, he’s the boss. ** But that proves he does not care about the temporal.
I said proof Bob not your speculation.
bolded …Yay now that makes sense Bob.

I have looked for a SD can’t find one.

And I’m not depressed, where did you get your PhD in Psychology/Psychiatry?

I’m just asking a question, so it is uncharitable to accuse people of something for asking a question.
You are NOT just asking a question, quit pretending the naive innocence of a 2yo.

Who are you trying to kid to Bobcatholic? Bearing false witness is a sin.
Your threads going back to pre 2010 all have the same theme.

1.You are upset with your lot in life.
2.You blame your Creator.
3.You mention suicide , eventually, in most threads. And thats a kick in the guts to those genuinely that deeply depressed they are contemplating suicide. Hardly responsible behaviour on your part is it?
4. You negate any, and all advice.
5. What does your wife feel about this attitude? What does she say?

Whether or not I have a Ph.D, whether or not it is in the field of Mental Health, is totally irrelevant.

YOU NEED HELP.

Great artists loved drowning in their own melancholy, but for them, their works were prodigious. It was their inspiration.

We are told to admonish sinners.
Blaming your Creator non stop, you have fallen to desolation and despair. Thats a sin.
You have scandalised CAF readers and those offering help for years.
Its time to stop.
Confess your sins.
Stop dialogue with the devil.
Work on the first Commandment.

LOVE GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, MIND, SOUL, STRENGTH.

We are all sinners, we can all seek and find forgiveness.

Quit saying poor me! Start thanking God you have started on the path home as a poor man. We are taught:

It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of the needle, then for a rich man to enter Heaven.

Arent you in a great position!

Yes this is harsh, no apologies.

I am compelled to admonish you for your desolation and despair. I refuse to dialogue with your devil.

Bob I do have a answer for you. The reason we are all not directly
shipped to heaven is because we are sinners and deserve to be here.

Even the Saints in this world were previous sinners. It was their choice to accept the Grace of God and forego sin and follow only him that made them Saints.

And the reason even Saints suffer in this world is because this is not the world of God. They have the struggle of foregoing the want of sin in this world, or if they beat that, they have the struggle of seeing innocent suffer. Either way no peace in this world, But Jesus warned us. This is not your world anymore then it was my world, if it is you world this world would love you, but if this world hates you remember it hated me first. So if you suffer for my sake, do not be sad, rejoice, because your reward in heaven will be even greater. Thats what I live by Bob, that how I justify my suffering. Some I brought upon myself and accept that about myself, and some its others sin.

God knows are mind and knows what we will do. Not that he cannot change it, but he won’t because he wants us to want him. He loves us enough not to force himself on us.

Maybe the reason you do not have a job is partly your fault, maybe it is not. But what my point here is this, some suffer because of their own sin, others suffer because of the sins of others. That is how it is.

But if you think about it, how can someone have free will to hurt another, but then the other not get hurt. Its impossible. So God cannot take the free will of the evil, and not let them use it to hurt the innocent. But what he does is find a way to take the hurt that the innocent suffers and makes it a good for the sufferer. Somehow some way.

But it is not God that caused the suffering, but it is God who suffers with the innocent.

Maybe Bob if you can somehow change your outlook on life, and others, especially those who you feel have it made, life will not only be better for you but for those around you. But that is grace and must come from God, and pray you can receive it.

And God forgive me for saying this, myself Bob I would not hire you because of your attitude. Forgive me for saying this, it was not meant to hurt you. I want to help you.

Myself if I went to an interview instead of saying I have no experience so the deck is stacked against me.

I would put on a happy face, smile, no one would know I had the weight of the world on me at home, and I would say, I know I may not have experience, but my strengths are this:::::::::::::::::; I an older, stable, reliable, then I would use my humor to have them remember me. Something like with me you get the baby (no experience) but without changing the diapers.

I think BobCatholic overlooks the fact that different people can bear Crosses of different sizes. God knows this but Bob doesn’t.

For one person, fear of public speaking might be a huge ‘cross’ to bear and for me it’s not.
Is God being unfair? No. Because I might carry a different ‘cross’ which - for me - is equivalent.

God, in His wisdom and love doesn’t expect everyone to have identical talents and carry identical ‘crosses’. Neither does He owe everyone of us an accounting of how and why things appear a certain way to our ignorant (and sinful) eyes.

BobCatholic looks at his own ‘crosses’ and thinks that because he can’t see the hidden crosses which others carry, that therefore he is unequally yoked.

BobCatholic seems to have missed Jesus’ promises in The Beatitudes - promises which directly refute Bob’s (false) accusation that the poor in spirit are treated unfairly and those who hunger and thirst aren’t respected enough and how the meek get nothing. etc. etc.

BobCatholic - I’m sorry, but if you deny the Beatitudes, if you deny God’s statement that "many who are first will be last, and the last will be first” then you are calling God a liar.
And that seems a very unwise thing to do.

Why is it you think i am not here to help? is it because i disagree with just about every thing you have put forth.
Again, you misinterpret me. I never said you were not here to help (and yes, I am grateful for your help and everyone else’s help).
nor did you answer the questions
Yeah so what that God is not a respecter of persons…What do you mean by ‘here He is doing just that’? .
We are supposed to carry the cross. No choice. This is what is supposed to be normal.
But there are those who exempt from the cross. God treats them better. He is respecting persons.

Look, I don’t begrudge it when others have better lives. I just want to know how I can get in on this.
It never happened because it never was supposed to. it has been explained over and over to you Bob yet you refuse to accept what has been told to you
It wasn’t explained, my question was just dismissed. Or misinterpreted on purpose to avoid answering the question.

Tell me why God did not fix the temporal problems. Why are we not back in the Garden of Eden?
You are not scoring any points with people here saying we/i should be in the Garden. Nobody is buying your theory Bob. Why is that Bob?
Because many people tell me I’m supposed to be a masochist, and love it.
I said proof Bob not your speculation.
bolded …Yay now that makes sense Bob.
The fact God says no to temporal needs is not “my speculation” it is proof.

I understand if someone asks God for something evil. OK, that is way understandable.

But if someone asks for something good, God still says no. Especially if it is something needed by the person asking. Does God care about the temporal? How, if he says no to something good that is temporal?

Bob I do have a answer for you. The reason we are all not directly
shipped to heaven is because we are sinners and deserve to be here.
Yes, we are sinners and deserve to be here.

Then when God fixed the sin, and washed it all away in baptism, and then we are cleaned of sin, ok, beam us up back to the Garden of Eden.

That doesn’t happen. The software is not fixed.

.
And the reason even Saints suffer in this world is because this is not the world of God.
I foolishly believe God is the king of the universe, and last time I checked, the earth is part of this universe.
But Jesus warned us. This is not your world anymore then it was my world, if it is you world this world would love you, but if this world hates you remember it hated me first.
Sounds like Christ gave up on the world and gave it to the devil instead of it being ruled by God.
And God forgive me for saying this, myself Bob I would not hire you because of your attitude. Forgive me for saying this, it was not meant to hurt you. I want to help you.
Well, I don’t act like this around employers or on the job. I am a consummate professional. I hold in my negative emotions since they are not worthy of human consumption. I get people who judge me harshly if I dare to have negative emotions.
Myself if I went to an interview instead of saying I have no experience so the deck is stacked against me.
I an older, stable, reliable, then I would use my humor to have them remember me. Something like with me you get the baby (no experience) but without changing the diapers.
The problem is I cannot change a job. OK, I go back to school…TWICE…learn new things, and it is not enough to get a job in the new field. Let’s see, I rocked at my old position, and get a great reputation, including recommendations on my profile from many higher ups. Seriously. Lots of them. So employers then think if I switch gears to a new position, I’m going to become a complete and utter messup. I think it is ridiculous and insane people think this way.

I think BobCatholic overlooks the fact that different people can bear Crosses of different sizes. God knows this but Bob doesn’t.
Actually I see people exempt from the cross.
For one person, fear of public speaking might be a huge ‘cross’ to bear and for me it’s not.
Is God being unfair? No. Because I might carry a different ‘cross’ which - for me - is equivalent.
Right, one has the cross of “fear of public speaking” while another does not - that second person is exempt from that cross.
God, in His wisdom and love doesn’t expect everyone to have identical talents and carry identical ‘crosses’.
So it is true - God is a respecter of persons, which is the problem of good I talk about.
BobCatholic seems to have missed Jesus’ promises in The Beatitudes - promises which directly refute Bob’s (false) accusation that the poor in spirit are treated unfairly and those who hunger and thirst aren’t respected enough and how the meek get nothing. etc. etc.
And how is “poor in spirit” defined?

I never said that “poor in spirit are treated unfairly and those who hunger and thirst aren’t respected enough and how the meek get nothing. etc”

Please don’t put words in my mouth.
BobCatholic - I’m sorry, but if you deny the Beatitudes, if you deny God’s statement that "many who are first will be last, and the last will be first” then you are calling God a liar.
And that seems a very unwise thing to do.
Again, I never said that.

Please don’t put words in my mouth.
