Hello everyone!

I hope I’m posting this in the right forum. I just wanted to thank so many people on this forum, Catholic Answers in general, Scott Hahn,Karl Keating, and the Holy Spirit.

I had left the Catholic church back in 1980 and since 1983, I have been a Regular Baptist. A lot of things have happened over the last year or so to make me question the Baptist Distinctives, and then Protestantism in general.

In short, after a lot of study, and prayer, I have decided to the return to the Church. I went to Mass last night in a long time, spefically because it was Assumption. Like most Protestants, the subject of Mary was a big hurdle for me. Scott Hahn’s book, “Hail, Holy Queen” was literally a Godsend. I can finally feel like I can call her my Mother and not feel like God will strike me down for saying so.

I went to Mass last night and felt like I was truly worshipping Christ, not just listening to a sermon. I can’t wait until Saturday when I can go to Confession for the first time in 30 years. I’ll be there a while! And the I can receive Christ the way we are supposed to, taking his whole being and making him part of myself.

I really do feel like the Prodigal coming home again. It will be a couple of weeks before I leave my Baptist church. I am the head librarian. I have someone to replace me, but I want to make sure that she is trained before I leave. I don’t want to leave them in the lurch.

If you want to see my bio and my progession over the last several months, you can look at my blog at jmcdhome.wordpress.com/

God Bless you all.

Welcome to the forums, Jim!

I am so happy for you and I can certainly know that Virgin Mary is very happy that you are coming Home! The entire Heaven is happy!

When I pray the rosary - part of the Joyful mysteries when Mary found baby Jesus in the temple, I pray that She keep continuing finding all Her Children and bring them back to Jesus. You have studied and prayed a lot, and here you are right on the Assumption!

What a blessing day for all to here your great news!

Also, it is very kind of you to take time to train other to replace your position.
