Hi,
In the teaching of the Prodigal Son, I am not aware of any explicit repentance of the son to his father or of his sin. Is his repentance implied? I.e. if his heart had not changed and he was not sorry would there be sense to having a celebration for him? Would the father do this to encourage him to repent and to show an example of love? For example, when someone runs out of money and so they return home it doesn’t mean he/she repented.
