The Catechism of the Catholic Church explains our Holy Mother Church’s position on homosexuality beautifully:

Chastity and homosexuality

2357
Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that “homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered.” They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.

2358 The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God’s will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord’s Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.

Homosexual persons are called to chastity. By the virtues of self-mastery that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection.

Phobic doesn’t mean fear in general; it means irrational fear. If someone fears that homosexual ideology is taking over, it’s not an irrational fear because this is really happening. People have lost their livelihoods and had their safety threatened for voicing opposition to homosexual ideology. People have had the definition of marriage changed because of homosexual ideology. Now men who call themselves “transwomen” have gained access to every female-only space in existence: everything from women’s restrooms to rape crisis centers.

It’s not phobic to be afraid of people who are attacking you.

This is because people will be coming to the table with more varied experiences and the company will, overall, have the opportunity to be more well-rounded in its output. It’s honestly the same with other institutions that pursue diversity - universities, hospitals, churches, etc. as you alluded to.
Because when a woman is in the hospital, it’s good for her to get a sponge bath from a man in women’s clothing. She will benefit from the diversity! (Dignity is so bigoted.)

If you have a number or diocesan priests, diversity doesn’t matter as long as they are not heterodox on theology or canon law. Diversity in those areas would be harmful.
Oh my goodness, I couldn’t disagree more! Catholicism takes on different faces throughout the world, and frankly gets a little stale in the U.S. Far from being "harmful, the multicultural infusion into the American Church has breathed new life into it!
The Catechism of the Catholic Church explains our Holy Mother Church’s position on homosexuality beautifully:
This thread started with an article complaining about how the Human Rights Campaign is fighting against discrimination in society. It took a turn toward the sinfulness of gay people having sex. I did, however, quote the Catechism above, which unequivocally commands us to love our LGBTQ brethren and sisters and fight any discrimination against them.

Whether or not people are sinning is irrelevant to whether or not they deserve discriminatory treatment. While I’m confident you agree, I just wanted to clarify the original focus on the thread.

Regardless of the rest of the discussion here, I’m not sure I understand this one. Wouldn’t the person giving a sponge bath be a nurse? What difference would his or her clothing make?

If you have a workforce of people assembling smartphones, it doesn’t matter how diverse they are, just so they know how to do this particular assembly the same way.

If you have a diverse number of barista’s making coffee, the important thing is that they all make the coffee in the same exact manner.

f you have a diversity among students in any particular discipline, diversity doesn’t male any difference as long as they can master the same subject matter.

If you have a number or diocesan priests, diversity doesn’t matter as long as they are not heterodox on theology or canon law. Diversity in those areas would be harmful.
But, if you’re in the marketing department, maybe for a clothing retailer, you might want to know what trends are out there, what people are buying, and it might help you to have (name removed by moderator)ut from representatives of different segments of society.

And of course the fact that there are trends indicates a lack of diversity!

It seems that corporations seeking diversity would want to hire those with traditional orthodox Catholic beliefs, to increase the level of diversity among their employees. Do they really want diversity or do they want to weed those traditionalists out?

They don’t hire myriad representatives of all the various marketing demographics. They pay firms to put together focus groups for that. Diversity in hiring is a cost savings measure, not a marketing focus group.

Except that I highly doubt the marketing department wants to “know what’s out there”, in terms of trends. That would be so last century.

Most marketing departments are using psychometrics and analysis of trends to make “educated” guesses about the directions where society might be led, with emphasis on creating and directing trends, rather than uncovering existing trends.

A great deal of the current “confusion” in society comes from a whole lot of experimentation in terms of marketing companies experimenting with where large sectors of society might “bite” using all kinds of marketing hooks.

Diversity was taught in support of the false notion - that the Beauty of the Church lies in her embracing a WIde Spectrum of differing - even contradictory notions?

Some folks seem to be elevating Diversity to the eighth Cardinal virtue. Which it isn’t.

Some Diversity is healthy. For instance if you were building a tower to Heaven, you’d want a diverse crew of builders, some of whom are efficient laborers, some who understand architecture and engineering, geologists good at identifying stone resources, masons, administrators, managers and so on. That is useful diversity. Having your construction crew based on their diversity of languages turned out to not be helpful!

  1. The Church does not ordain women,
  2. does not accept those with fixed homosexual orientation as candidates for the priesthood,
  3. opposes gender identity theory, promotes traditional marriage and opposes same sex marriage.
  4. It’s priests do not officiate same sex marriage.
  5. It does not encourage children to transition to the opposite sex.
  6. It opposes contraception and IVF.
Exactly.

And as the Church must…

For that represents the Will of God.
