The reason for me looking into Catholicm has finally happened!

My little girl has finally been baptized into the Catholic faith! This all started just because I (and my husband) wanted her baptized - although not Catholic per se. And through the journey that started there my own right of welcome is in just a few weeks! God certainly works in ways you don’t see coming.

I’m confused. Is your husband Catholic? How did you get her baptized in a Catholic Church?

Nope. Actually I come from a Catholic family that is mostly lapsed at this point. I was baptized Catholic as a baby, but never catechized. Was trying to initially get her baptized through a retired Lutheran pastor, but without a church… My sister suggested going Catholic. Coming from a very Protestant mindset, I made sure to do some research on it first.

And now my daughter is a baptized Catholic and mommy’s on her way to confirmation. That’s why I have my username that way. Her initials are CJ and it was because of her that I’m coming home.

Great story! She will be happy to know when she is old enough because of her you also entered the Catholic church officially.
