Oh ed – A Voice for Men (Paul Elam) are the ones who put together/held that conference that was reported on back in my post #161. The one with the pedo’s who want to have sex with 12 yr. olds.
More ad hominems.

Right, the constant lectures and whining about “white male privilege” have absolutely nothing to do with it.
It’s like they expect straight white men can be locked away in a white room in a straight-jacket and have to like it.

Cause that’s worked out really well in history before.

Okay, Lucy, if you REALLY want to know what is going, you’re going to have watch the videos I posted and look at Hick’s book. Reading my first sentence and then responding with a minute reflection isn’t going to cut it.

No, it is not a stretch because 3rd wave feminists and their allies have the three biggest megaphones in society as D’Souza notes, in academia, media and Hollywood.

First of all, yes, the education system is not built for boys to learn in a good manner. Research has shown that boys do not learn by sitting still so well and need more hands-on activities.

Secondly, the UK government issuing quotas to address the imbalance in the gender was a bad idea. Take Chemistry for example. Chemistry departments had to take an equal number of women. The problem is that a lot of women who went into chemistry didn’t stay-----they went to psychology or the humanities. As a result, many chemistry departments ended up closing.

Third, your argument of “unintended consequences, let’s just leave it at that” is depressing and inaccurate. 3rd wave feminism is working actively to get rid of the nuclear family.

If you’re serious about learning about it, you’re going to have to get beyond trying to reason this out based solely on your personal experiences.

These decisions are now hardly innocent. People, especially those in the media, academia and the political sphere, know exactly what they are doing or what they are enabling.

And they are counting on lack of knowledge so they can keep pushing ahead with their agenda.
I will admit I have not had a chance to watch the videos but will find some time to do so. I have men in my life who I care deeply about and would like to at least try to understand these issues.

That’s too dismissive. You should at least know what is going before making that conclusion.

Because some of this stuff could be forced on people sooner rather than later, and then it’s the usual banter “oh golly, gee, why I never thought that could happen!”.

Clowns? Maybe. Use that word if you want, but they won’t care what you call them if they get to run your life, your kid’s future and your Church while getting you to foot the bill.

Totally not a politically correct thing to say, but…

It takes a certain kind of man to look around and think that in a world where men outnumber women in virtually every national government and international governing body, in the highest echelons of business and entertainment, and where men lead every major religion, men are somehow held down, oppressed, and face large-scale discrimination at the hands of unnamed, shadowy “feminists”.
And it takes a special kind of shallowness to think that official prominence in government and churches is the litmus test for domination. Be sure never to consult statistics regarding longevity, drop-out rates, enrollment in colleges and professional schools, disparity in prison sentences, rates of suicide. Those things are irrelevant.

You should look into his own personal history.. It really seems like this subculture lacks a single respectable leader who even tries to do the right thing and be a decent human being.

I didn’t say those are irrelevant. I just don’t believe they’re the result of the aforementioned shadowy feminist overlords.

Since men are indeed prominent in government and churches why don’t they do something about the plight of men who are struggling?

Why blame women for their plight? Even if you do blame them, what good is that going to do for those who need help?

How is being on the internet complaining about it going to accomplish things?

Who is they?

**Because the high elites don’t care about the plight of the commoner, whatever the sex.

Women enable these evil men with their votes and constant bellowing to hand even more power to government and the corporate elite they are in bed with.
How is being on the internet complaining about it going to accomplish things?
The internet elected Donald Trump.

The internet elected Donald Trump.
So you blame women wholesale for the election of what you deem as evil men?

I do not vote Democrat and in fact am a registered Republican. Women are just as individual as you are. We are not a monolithic whole.

I don’t understand this at all. Posters who rightly fail about blaming white men wholesale for what ever atrocities, real or imagined, are in turn turning around and blaming women wholesale.

This whole “pill” thing seems to be the domain of men who have severe personal and social issues and also have a bizare penchant to blame political forces for their personal failures.

  1. Simplistic. Just because men are in positions of power doesn’t mean they are free or even motivated to exercise power for the benefit of men (unlike, it seems, most contemporary women who now are encouraged to embrace consciousness of being a “class” over against men). In fact, usually the opposite. Most men still have inclinations to favor women out of “chivalry”, despite the rejection by contemporary women of any traditional gender roles.
  2. I don’t blame women per se, but I do blame third-wave feminism and its adherents, male and female, for their constant flogging of the idea that western women as women, are an oppressed class. This muddies up the waters and inhibits addressing real oppression, which is primarily based on class and race, not gender (in the US; in some other countries it is different).
  3. I find it odd that you and others bring up complaining on the internet when that is what modern feminism is based on. Ever heard of Jezebel.com? Huffington Post?

Oops typo.

I meant posters who rightly rail against those blame white men as a whole for evil done, real or imagined, turn around and then blame women as a whole.

Radical Feminism must ingrain the idea that all women, just by virtue of being women, are the victims class. Are there legitimate problems facing women now? Yes, but what are they? Are they caused only by men? Women, like men, are not responsible or do not have the desire to improve understanding and solve problems between men and women?

By labeling themselves Feminists, as in Third Wave, they become a highly indoctrinated group of women that live in a mental construct of their choosing. Solving problems with men and women might cause confusion. That would be bad. The troops need to be part of a war, like the “War on Women.” That mentality must dominate - not solving problems.

If men and women can learn to live together peacefully, and I know some men and women who do, it would take away the momentum of the “men must be overthrown” - referred to as the Patriarchy - and only women will be in charge in positions of power.

If that fails - the protestors and agitators will have nothing to do. And that is unthinkable. They might find women falling away and liking men and even appreciating holding doors open for them. Or worse, getting married after a lengthy period of dating and embracing babies and motherhood, and looking at their husband as a (imperfect but trying to do better) partner.

The difficulties are not only of an economic character, although these are truly serious.** Many hold that the change that has happened in these last decades has to do with the emancipation of woman. However, this argument is not valid either; it is a falsehood, it’s not true! It is a form of machismo that always wants to dominate woman**. We make the bad figure that Adam made when God said to him: “Why have you eaten the fruit of the tree?” and he : “The woman gave it to me.” And the fault is the woman’s. Poor woman! We must defend women! In reality, almost all men and women would like affective stability, a solid marriage and a happy family.

I agree.

Present in all is the belief in the scapegoat being subhuman but still able to have the encompassing power to ruin society as a whole.

I have known very very very few third wave feminists but a vast majority of women do get married and surprise get along well with their husbands. You sound as if the vast majority of women are colluding among themselves to bring men down. I grew up in Asia and women there are far from the third wave feminists that you describe. Even in the US, the vast majority of women are not hatching evil plots.

I for one do not wish ill on anyone, even though I am a woman.
