Each day that the Obama administration fades into the past, its wrongdoings manage to wander back into the present.

After years of suppression, all sorts of strange events keep popping up to remind us of what little is left of the Obama years — the Susan Rice memo, Christopher Steele deleting his computer records, FBI-doctored and lost 302s, text messages wiped clean, the bizarre Obama January 5, 2017, Oval Office meeting, the ambush interview of Michael Flynn, the unmasking and leaking of redacted names swept up in reverse-targeting surveillance operations, the administration fraud perpetrated on the FISA courts. The list is so overwhelming and bizarre that it ensures that anything at any time can now appear. And the result keeps reminding Americans of how corrupt were the years between 2009 and 2017 and how untruthful was the coverage of such institutionalized wrongdoing."

It only comes back for those who can’t seem to let go of their need to obscess over the first black president

I was reading this morning about the action the DoJ took against George Papadopoulis in charging him with, among other things, an 18 USC 1519 violation which criminalizes the destruction, alteration, or falsification of records in a federal investigation. This had to do with him cancelling his Facebook account (on the advice of his lawyers), and getting a different phone/number. That he offered his old phone to the FBI for analysis apparently was irrelevant.

This is significant because, unlike a 1001 violation (lying) which carries “only” a five year maximum, this one comes with a 20 year limit. Where this gets really interesting is in noting that the primary FBI attorney on the Crossfire Hurricane investigation, Kevin Clinesmith, is the person who altered an email from the CIA to make it look like Carter Page was not an agency source when in fact the CIA liaison had said he was.

So, if George Papadopoulis was threatened with a 1519 violation when he had not committed one, and the DoJ knew it, what are the chances that Clinesmith will escape being charged when he is known to have falsified a document? 20 years is a big threat to have hanging over you. I think Clinesmith will go down, and hopefully he’ll take a lot of his co-conspirators with him.

I know we have to follow the evidence… but if he did break the law then he should pay the penalty just like me and you…

Just a guess (obviously), but it seems likely to me that in the next 2-3 weeks some of the shoes are about to drop, and the fan is about to get messy.

Quote from Rep. Devin Nunes (House Intelligence Committee) last Sunday:

“We’ve also expanded our investigation into the Mueller team and everything that happened with Mueller and the people at DOJ and FBI that were above Mueller. And so, we will be making criminal referrals in the coming weeks against the Mueller team,”

Now, I understand that one might be inclined to take the comments of politicians as less than reliable, especially in light of the falsehoods emanating from the House Intelligence Committee for the last two years, but unlike Schiff, Nunes has not earned a reputation for deceit. I think he will do just what he said he will.

And if no charges are brought, they will claim new conspiracies like the Hilary matter.

You have more faith in our justice system than I do.

No one has been more guilty than Hillary, yet she was completely shielded by those who were supposed to be investigating her.

Washington is a swamp.

For 30+ years I heard Hillary was guilty. Bill was guilty. That’s long enough rope to hang any credibility to the claims.
You can sum up the never ending political attack on Hillary this way:
Faldwell’s Liberty publication had Hillary on the front cover.
The headline was that HILLARY COMITTED ADULTERY WITH FOSTER, AN AFFAIR, AND MURDERED HIM.
For those who might still suffer from decades of anti-Hillary conditioning and missed the point, heterosexual adulterer/ murder charges conflict with Lesbian adulteress charges. In Hillary world, her opponents never saw conflicts like that. In just a month, her sexuality and sin turned on a dime. Shape shifting spawn of Satan, and Hillary, can do that apparently.
The next issue( monthly issues) Hillary was on the cover again.
The Headline was: HILLARY IS HAVING A LESBIAN AFFAIR.
Remember, she was a first lady at the time. Because as bad as things are today, you could never imaging Trump’s wife or the Bush wives fielding that level of false witness( from a proported moral majority publication).
30+ years of it. So give it a rest.
Washington is the Swamp is a perfect fox guarding the hen house slogan.
An impeached president whose inner circle is serving jail time. Who just manufactured the 5th IG to resign or be fired since he survived impeachment. You can’t get more swamp than that

This topic isn’t about Hillary 30 years ago.

This topic is about the long, long, long list of scandals under the Obama administration, and how his legacy is coming apart.

The guy who preached to us for years about climate change and rising oceans (and how the rich “have enough!”) bought a $12 million oceanfront property on an island.

When he buys an ivory Tower with a Golden toilet and the Post Castle we can talk elitism. And to me talking about Hillary is exactly reminding it is the same baseless claims for 30 years plus.
He covered pre-existing and Trump is hell bend to exclude 1 in 5 Americans

Not surprisingly the investigative net continues to widen.

Attorney General Bill Barr has asked U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas John Bash to review the practice of “unmasking” before and after the 2016 presidential election, a controversy that has picked up steam after the Justice Department moved to drop charges against former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, the DOJ told Fox News on Wednesday night.

Fortunately the US has a plethora of capable attorneys, because we’re gonna need a whole bunch of them to get anywhere close to the bottom of all of this.

And now, after subverting/co-opting the agencies of law enforcement in the United States, we’ve come to the point in the Trump presidency when they unleash their awkward attempts at payback.

It wasnt “subverting/co-opting” law enforcement when Obama appointed Homder to DOJ. He was doing what every other President did by appointing someone with similar ideologies.

Trump ran on a platform of “draining the swamp”. He has an AG who is looking to do that.

I’m not going to waste my time talking about Bill Barr. I stand by what I said.

Okay, I’ll add that Bill Barr should start with Trump’s cabinet. One of the most corrupt in recent history. That was what you were talking about right?

Sure. If there is lawbreaking there I want them held responsible.

Just like I want Hillary held responsible for negligent release of classified material.

Conclusion: What do these three scandals mean, individually and collectively? The first, accessing the NSA database, is the largest violation of basic constitutional protections against illegal search and seizure in American history.

The second, surveillance of the Trump campaign, involves illegally using of the government’s most powerful tools of national intelligence and law enforcement against an opposition political party. These crimes directly attack two pillars of constitutional democracy: (1) elections should be free and fair, not corrupted by the party in power, and (2) law enforcement and intelligence should never be used as partisan instruments.

The third scandal attacks yet another pillar of constitutional democracy: the peaceful transfer of power to a new administration. Handing government authority to the opposition party is a hallmark of stable democracy. Much as the Obama administration hated to see Hillary Clinton lose, it was obliged to transfer power seamlessly to Donald Trump. On the surface it did so. Beneath the surface, it erected every obstacle it could.

One can only wonder how long people will continue to ignore and disbelieve the extent of this behavior.

Well, I agree. I think Hillary willfully broke regulations/laws that deal with handling classified information.
This is one of the things that has people so infuriated with the FBI and DoJ. Paul Giannopolous was threatened by the DoJ with a US 18 1519 violation (destruction, alteration of records relevant to a federal investigation). His “crime”? Deleting his Facebook account and getting a new phone/number. Hillary destroyed the hard drive to her computer after it had been subpoenaed, and was charged with…nothing. That particular felony comes with a 20 year max sentence. Let’s not pretend that anything like equal justice has been meted out.

Are you not aware of any of this?
