The Restoration

I have heard some times about the Restoration of the Church (like in the apparition of our Lady of Good Success).
What do you think about it? What is it about? Are there any other private revelations about it? Do you think it happened or is yet to happen?
 
Never heard of it. I am careful with all private revelations, and pay no attention to those not examined and approved by the Church. However, the Church, as a living body, is in a constant state of renewal.

By way of analogy, our human bodies are constantly replacing cells as they die, healing wounds and recovering from sickness. The Church is the same, on both a physical and metaphysical (spiritual) level. It has always needed, and will always need internal reformation, as it is populated by sinners.

It is part of the living process. To ascribe a time, date, type or method to this process seems to me to lose focus on the macro (the Body) and risks derailment from the journey by misplacing hope in some predicted change which may never arrive.
 
Fair enough. However, such revelations are not part of the deposit of faith and the faithful are in no way bound to believe in them. They were messages intended for the recipient - to assist that person on their spiritual journey. Best that we do not read too much into them, as is done with one or two other apparitions which are also approved.

They cannot overshadow or supplant any portion of the Gospel. And for me, that is enough.
 
I wasn’t aware the Church had gone away and needed to be “restored”. Except in Communist countries maybe.

As far as I am aware, it means a restoration of tradition, holiness and purity in the Church. 😀
 
Approved apparitions never replace or supplement the Gospel, but they can warn us about the times ahead.

For example:
“Unbridled passions will give way to a total corruption of customs because Satan will reign through the Masonic sects, targeting the children in particular to ensure general corruption.

“Unhappy, the children of those times! Seldom will they receive the sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation. As for the sacrament of Penance, they will confess only while attending Catholic schools, which the devil will do his utmost to destroy by means of persons in authority.

Sounds an aweful lot like our modern times

Among others. You can chalk it up to coincidence but I believe there is someone in heaven that loves us so much that they are willing to appear to us to warn us about the troubling times ahead.
