In absolutely no way can private revelations be equated to the public revelations of the Apostles. Private revelations are definitely not needed to understand the Catholic Church. It is misleading and in error to suggest something like that.

Please read the revelations and get an understanding on how good for spiritual help they are.

God does not speak just for fun, but rather for help us souls to salvation. God doesent whant the death of the body, but the death of the sin.

Read this link to learn about the sin:

saintbirgitta.com/vol1_book1/b1_b1_ch37.htm

And this link the learn about the Good and the bad Spirit:

saintbirgitta.com/vol1_book1/b1_b1_ch54.htm

Can you from all your heart really say that this is missleading?

No bad spirits would learn us to hate the sin, and to walk toward God. That can only God do.

Thats why there’s Saints in the world, and thats why Johannes Paulus II made Birgitta the Saint of all Europe.

*The Mother’s words to the bride describing the excellence of her Son, and about how Christ is now being crucified more harshly by his enemies, the bad Christians, than he was by the Jews, and about how, as a consequence, such people will receive a harsher and more bitter punishment. *

You misunderstand me. I am not against (approved) private revelations. In fact I have and read St Faustina’s diary and pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet daily.

My point is (and forgive me if I have misunderstood you) that approved private revelations do have a place but with regard to the written word our focus first and foremost should be on Sacred Scripture. Private revelations along with other writings by good Catholic authors are additional spiritual help but not our main source to help us in our faith.

Thistle is correct.
We are in fact glad that these revelations have helped you come to know the one and only Church of Christ. But since they are private revelations you want to make sure you are NOT equating them with the Public Revelations. But make sure that you only ENCOURAGE people to read them. They are in no way equal to the Public Revelations. It always helps to invite people to listen to them, and I personally believe them to be true.
Yet, you must be careful on how you present private revelations. You must not consider this your main means although they are true.
Trust in Scripture.
It is okay to encourage people to believe in them, but make sure they trust in Sacred Scripture and Tradition more.
Could you tell us about your journey to the Catholic Church?

However I can see your benign motives, and I will read them.

But you must keep in mind that St. Birgitta’s Private Revalations come after Sacred Scripture.
Perhaps sending bibles with these revelations?

Actually, come to think of it, I see people promoting Rosaries and the Divine Mercy Revelations all the time.

But just one advise, DO NOT equate such Revelations with the bible.😉

St. Birgitta is implying a metaphorical crucifixion, not an actually recrucifixion such as that in the book of the Hebrews. Realisticly, Christ has only been crucified once.

Swedish version? Has there never been a Swedish version before now? I find this odd considering that Birgitta was a Swedish saint.

Or are you perhaps referring to modern Swedish or something?

I bookmarked it! St. Faustina’s revelations are considered “private revelations” too, I understand. I read some on this site and it reads like the voice of Jesus to me.

Come to think of it also, I’ll bookmark 'em too.🙂
It seems as though you have updated the web page right?

For there is no one in the world so rooted in the devil that the good Spirit does not at times visit and move his heart. Likewise, there is no one so good that the devil does not try to touch him with temptation. 19 Many good and just people are tempted by the devil with God’s permission. This is not because of wickedness on their part but for their greater glory.

20 The Son of God, one in divinity with the Father and the Holy Spirit, was tempted[1] in the human nature he had taken. How much more are his elect put to the test for their greater reward! 21 Again, many good people sometimes fall into sin, and their conscience is darkened through the devil’s falsehood, but they get back up hardier and stand stronger than before through the power of the Holy Spirit. 22 However, there is nobody who does not realize this in his conscience, whether the suggestion of the devil leads to the deformity of sin or to the good, if he would only think about and examine it carefully.

23 And so, bride of my Lord, you do not have to be in doubt as to whether the spirit of your thoughts is good or bad. For your conscience tells you which things to ignore and which to choose. 24 What should a person who is full of the devil do, since the good spirit cannot enter him inasmuch as he is full of evil? He should do three things. He should make a plain and complete confession of sins, which, even if he cannot be heartily sorry due to his hardened heart, still it benefits him inasmuch as, due to his confession, the devil gives him some respite and gets out of the good spirit’s way. 25 Second, let him be humble and resolve to atone for the sins he has committed and do what good he can, and then the devil will begin to leave. 26 Third, in order to get the good spirit back again, he should beseech God in humble prayer and, with true love, be sorry for the sins he has committed , inasmuch as love for God kills the devil.

27 The devil is so envious and malicious that he would rather die a hundred times than see someone do God the least little good out of love."

Thank you, I truly needed this. I am also so glad to hear from you. Could you bother telling us your conversion story?

Saint Bridget did not become a canonized Saint because of her revelations from Christ and the Mother of God but because of her heroic charity towards God and neighbour.

I believe however in the revelations and for me they serve as an antidote to all the secular **** that surrounds us.
