The Risen Christ as a Trance Exerience?

Christ appeared after His Resurrection to over 500 people at one time.
For this many people to experience the exact same hallucination via mass hysteria, or mere phantasmic vision via “trance experience”, would be an unparalleled miracle in and of itself.
It simply is not possible.

🙂 Hello!

In leafing through the first pages of my trusty A Prayerbook of Favorite Litanies tonight, I made an interesting discovery as to what such things as the Nihil Obstat and the Imprimatur
meant way back in 1985, and that may or that may not still apply today, in respect to the writings of Dr. John J. Pilch and his views of the risen Christ as a trance experience, etc…

The brief statement in our litany book states simply, in the first paragraph that:

“The **Nihil Obstat ** and Imprimatur are offcial declarations that a publication is free of doctrinal error or moral error. No implication is contained therein that those who have granted the **Nihil Obstat ** or Imprimatur agree with the contents, opinions, or statements expressed.”

Humm… 😦 Nope! It doesn’t look like that is going to work here, either.

Because saying, in effect, that the Resurrection of Jesus Christ is what we make it, and what we make it is up to us may have a trendy with it sound, it goes 'way, 'way beyond mere “contents, opinions, or statements expressed.”

At least, so it would seem! 😉

Thanks!
