What did Peter witness living with God in the flesh. One answer would be If “everything he saw, heard, felt, were written, the world could not contain the Books.” What Peter and the Apostles first witnessed and could pass forward either by written or spoken word could not have been imagined. By the command, “on this Rock you will build my Church.” The Rock of the Faith is the Keys given to Peter by God when he was asked, “Who do you say I AM?” His reply literlly, You are God. “The Christ.” The Rock would be the Church, headed by Peter, fulfilled by Jesus’ redeeming cross and Resurrection. Jesus was brought to earth by the Arc of the New Covenant which carried the bread of life, the word of God in the flesh, and The actual and eternal High Priest. The Arc of the new covenant is Mary Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth and Mother of the Church. This all from the Holy Spirit, who was there before creation and by his power everything was made in Jesus Christ, by God the Father. Jesus had no actual blood brothers. Jewish custom was to hand over your Mothers care to your best friend, one you trusted and believed in and a person you truly loved. Disciples, and you were there, He spoke to you on the cross “agonizing, He leans towards you. His head crowned with thorns. With blood-filled eyes, from which life is already ebbing. He points to the Virgin shedding the blood of her immaculate heart for you, and with a dying voice He says, “Ecce Mater tua” - Behold thy Mother.” Making you His brother and restoring eternal life to the flesh just as He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. If you truly believe in the divinity of Jesus, you believe in all of his teachings.
