One last question before I go… is the Roman Curia co-terminus with the reigning Pope? If the Pope dies or retires (or abdicates), does the term of those in the Curia also expire?

I don’t think so. At least they didn’t upon Bl.Pope JP II’s death.🤷
 
Yes they are. Everyone is out of a job when the previous Pope passes/abdicates. In practice I don’t think they are ever really removed, however, the new Pope just re-assigns them to the same jobs they had under the previous Pope.

In theory, however, he could bring in all new people.
