The Rosary of Jesus

Has anyone else ever heard of the Rosary of Jesus? I came across it in “The Gold Book of Prayers” but cannot find information on it anywhere else. I am especially interested in finding a rosary for it. Help.
 
I googled and it says it was started by one of the alleged Medjugorje “seers”. If that is the case, and I am not all that certain it is, I would be leary of it.

The Most Holy Rosary Our Lady gave St. Dominic IS the rosary of Jesus. It is a meditation of His entire life.
 
Have you actually looked at the prayer of the Rosary of Jesus? I think it is beautiful, and there is nothing in it that would lead me to think that it was not ok to use in prayer.

Yes I did read it. I don’t think the Church approved it at all, or if it is even considered a private, not public, devotion. I am leary of anything coming from Medgugorje,whether it appears to be beautiful or not.

Do have any information concerning if it has the approval of the Church or a bishop? I am googling and cannot find if it does or not. I’ll keep looking…
 
I joined this forum because I wanted to ask about this. Thank you for taking the time to do a google search (I tried that too with not much luck). I was hoping that there would be someone-in-the-know here (with some sort of authority) who could give me some answers. I am a little leery of receiving “opinions” from others because of some discussions going on in a Catholic group in Facebook. I would like to know what the Catholic Church thinks. Thank you though for replying to my post. I appreciate it.

What more information do you want though? The prayers and background of them are easy to find on the internet

What are you asking for if not opinions? 🤷
 
Well, as I said in my original post, I would like to know where to find a rosary (the beads and such) for this. Also, your objection to the prayer has led me to want to know what the Catholic Church says about this. Is there something wrong with it? A brief history is in the little book that I have but why have I not heard about this rosary before now? The information I have found on-line is so little.

Once again, THANK YOU for your opinions. I am new to this group and am still figuring out how things work. Maybe advice on how to use this site better would be helpful.
 
I am sorry Melody, I couldn’t locate anymore info. I looked and looked, but there was very little to go on. I hope you find the info you are searching for.

This link purports that a prayer book in 1774 listed how to pray the ‘Rosary of Jesus.’ Now, I’m not sure if it’s the same Rosary of Jesus of which you speak, but there is some historical documentation of a Rosary of Jesus.

As to what the Church says about the Rosary of Jesus - I have no idea - and I couldn’t find any information. Though I like to view it like this: the Church has a rich tapestry of approved devotions from which a Christian can select… why not pick one of those?

As to your question about why not pick another prayer from the long list that are approved… I really like the Rosary of Jesus. When I first read the prayer it clicked with me. Also, all of the prayers that are in the Rosary of Jesus are accepted by the Catholic Church (The Apostles Creed, Our Fathers, and Glory Be’s). So I am pretty sure that it would be accepted by the Catholic Church.

I’m guessing it’s because, since it came from one of the Medjugorje seers, and Medjugorje is an unapproved apparition site, that’s why.
