I haven’t been on in a while but I want to be more active again.

• I’ve seen Rosaries with Jesus on the bottom with the cross. What does that mean? I read it was a focus on what Jesus did and to remember it. Do you get the one with or without Jesus?
• Do Rosaries need to be blessed?

Could be for the Divine Mercy Chaplet, another devotional, but can equally be used to say the rosary. I have one like this.

• Do Rosaries need to be blessed?

Have to be? No. But its not a bad idea.

That’s wonderful!!! The rosary is such a beautiful and powerful prayer. If you can, I strongly encourage you (and everyone reading) to set aside a specific time daily to pray the rosary. This is my favourite rosary prayer guide, published by the Dominicans:

The with Christ on it is called a crucifix, and Catholics prefer the Crucifix because we continually remember His sacrifice for us. The cross alone is not where our focus is.
Rosaries should be blessed.

Yes, it would be very good to have the Rosary blessed, as it is a sacramental and set aside for the special reason to be prayed with. A deacon or priest will be happy to bless it.

The majority of Rosaries and Chaplets have a cross with the Crucified Jesus on it.

All rosary I have made in the past,start with Jesus on the Cross,than beads all the way around and back tell you finish the rosary,than you hold it in your hand and make the sign of the Cross which at the end of the Rosary.
Yes, you should have it Blessed, than the rosary will truly protected you from all evil,and harm,because you are showing Our Lady you are truly devoted too the rosary that she gave too St Dominica for all too say.
But you don,t have too,because it,s your faith you have in the Rosary and your faith in Mary
that count,s when you say it.
