I recently had occasion to realize how powerful saying the rosary is … Our Lady is a very powerful advocate.

I agree. I initially found the Rosary to be a bit of a chore, but have grown to really love praying it.

I shudder to think how much worse off our world would be without it. God Bless, Memaw

Yes it is very powerful. Here is quotes Saints said about the Rosary:

“The holy Rosary is a powerful weapon. Use it with confidence and you’ll be amazed at the results.”
–St. Josemaria Escriva

“If you say the Holy Rosary every day, with a spirit of faith and love, our Lady will make sure she leads you very far along her Son’s path.”
–St. Josemaria Escriva

“Say the Holy Rosary. Blessed be that monotony of Hail Mary’s which purifies the monotony of your sins!”
–St. Josemaria Escriva

Give me an army saying the Rosary and I will conquer the world."
–Saint Pope Pius IX

“The Rosary is the ‘weapon’ for these times.”
–Saint Padre Pio

“The Rosary is the most beautiful and richest of all prayers to the Mediatrix of all grace; it is the prayer that touches most the heart of the Mother of God. Say it each day.”
–Pope Saint Pius X

“Give me an army saying the Rosary and I will conquer the world.”
–Saint Pope Pius IX

“Among the various supplications with which we successfully appeal to the Virgin Mother of God, the Holy Rosary without doubt occupies a special and distinct place. This prayer, which some call the Psalter of the Virgin or Breviary of the Gospel and of Christian life, was described and recommended by Our Predecessor of happy memory, Leo XIII”
–Pope Pius XI

“The Holy Rosary is the storehouse of countless blessings.”
–Blessed Alan de la Roche

“There is no problem, I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot solve by the prayer of the Holy Rosary.”
–Sister Lucia, of the seers of Fatima

The faults of children are not always imputed to the parents, especially when they have instructed them and given good example. Our Lord, in His wonderous Providence, allows children to break the hearts of devout fathers and mothers. Thus the decisions your children have made don’t make you a failure as a parent in God’s eyes. You are entitled to feel sorrow, but not necessarily guilt. Do not cease praying for your children; God’s grace can touch a hardened heart. Commend your children to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. When parents pray the Rosary,at the end of each decade they should hold the Rosary aloft and say to her,“With these beads bind my children to your Immaculate Heart”, she will attend to their souls.
– St. Louise de Marillac

I got my first rosary in the mail before I converted. I ordered it from a monastery by mail with cash so my parents wouldn’t find out, and watched the mail for the next week like a hawk so I could get it before they found out. I didn’t know how they would take to me being interested in Catholicism. (Turns out they didn’t mind at all but I didn’t know that at the time :rotfl: )

If you are not already you may wish to enroll in the Confraternity of the Holy Rosary which is managed by the Dominican Order. The obligation is to say a full rosary (all the mysteries) a week.

I used to pray the rosary daily but as of late have gotten out of the habit. It’s been a long time since I have. I appreciate this thread and the comments give me the impetus to start again.

God bless all the posters.

Mary, Mother of God pray for us.

Mary.

I haven’t prayed the Rosary for a couple of weeks. I shall make time to do so tomorrow.

Yes. If you find it difficult at first to pray all 5 decades, start praying 1 decade daily. It takes around less than 5 minutes. I’ve been encouraging someone to pray the Rosary, and I told him that praying 1 decade everyday is okay. Have to start somewhere.
