That is Islam, it supports dictator persons to cover their slavery and discrimination acts.

Simply you can not say NO in Islam, whatever those rulers say then you must obey without a single word :takethat:. however, that prohibition is based on Quran (4:59):
"O you who believe! obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority from among you; then if you quarrel about anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you believe in Allah and the last day; this is better and very good in the end. "
ياأيها الذين آمنوا أطيعوا الله وأطيعوا الرسول وأولي الأمر منكم

I grew up in Saudi Arabia. Don’t confuse the teachings of the Saudi government with the teachings of mainstream Islam. The predominant form of Islam in Saudi Arabia is Wahhabi. It’s an extremist branch and other forms of Islam consider it as such, often also considering it to be heretical. The authorities of Saudi Arabia abuse Islam to maintain their control over the population. They are in no way representative of mainstream Islam. Unfortunately the Al-Saud dynasty united the country under Wahhabism and has control of the Islamic holy cities which sadly allows this extremism to continue to propagate.

The ‘Islam’ taught in Saudi Arabia is an abuse of Islam. They should never be used as an example of mainstream Islamic teachings. It’s like using Fred Phelps to represent all of Christianity - it’s unfair because you’re using a sample that deviates extremely from the main.

I can understand the part on Wahhabism…

But before it, then who controlled the Muslim faith in Saudi Arabia? It is confusing…because I see Saudi Arabia as the source and center of the authentic belief of Islam.

Just like I see Israel as the birthplace of Christianity…but wait…Christianity’s seat was moved to Rome.

So then who has authentic Islam? Also, wasn’t it the more powerful and war like that took over Islam and spread it by sword?

I read and read and read the posts of the different sides of Islam here…

This is just Saudi Arabia, not Islam.

If they don’t like something, they tend to throw fatwas and money at it.

The question of “who has the authentic Islam” has not been answered unanimously since Mohammad died, but in general, Wahhabi are not considered mainstream.

Excuse me all, but that is not related to Wahhabism alone, all Muslim sects would do the same thing to justify their brutal practices, take for example this fatwa from Al-Azhar in Egypt which also forbids demonstrations.

And if that would happen in Iran, you would see a similar fatwa, it’s all about politics, money, and power and that what Islam is all about…

I think that like Christians, many Muslims are luke warm souls and twist their teachings so that they can justify themselves. I think it also depends on the culture.

Muslims from my university are nothing like what people define as ‘true’ Muslims. Those who genuinely love God will love His creation also. There are some statistics online from a national survey. Statistics of Muslims who are against terrorism are as low as about 20% in Nigeria, but over 80% of Muslims in Germany are against it. (I would find the survey for you but I should be getting ready lol) But anyway, I think it’s the culture.

For me, it’s very telling—it tells the tale—that they will confiscate a Bible from you if you try to enter S.A. with one.

In one fell swoop, so much for our freedoms.

The laws of Saudi Arabia are insanely hypocritical. They claim to be so tolerant and accepting but they aren’t. There are no freedoms there, not for anyone. But again, they do not represent the whole of Islam.

The example you used was about Saudi Arabia, so the relation to Wahhabism was valid. And Iran is hardly an example of standard Islamic practice. There are always a minority who will abuse religion, don’t be so narrow-minded as to judge the majority by this minority. And that applies to any faith.

That is true, Google that and you will find many incidents, they are afraid of the Bible, usually demons afraid of Angels… 😉

**Saudi Arabia: **a Sunni Wahhabi Muslims utilizing Islam to fulfil their needs…
Egypt: a Sunni non-Wahhabi Muslims who are utilizing Islam to fulfil their needs…
Iran: a Shiite Muslims who represent about 10%-15% of total Islam religion are utilizing Islam to fulfil their needs…
Malaysia: a Sunni non-Wahhabi Muslims claiming ‘Allah’ to be exclusive to Muslims are also utilizing Islam to fulfil their needs…

Who is remaining!!! that is Islam a political law allowing certain people to gain political, power, and money to fulfil their dictatorship practices by humiliating and discriminating others.

I do not care about Islam (in the sense of these “is this true Islam or not” discussions), but to the extent that the Saudi people who would like to change the very harsh and draconian political/religious structure of their country and are being prevented from doing so with Islam as the reason given. Islam or not Islam, I’ve met more than a few Saudis who, while not exactly loving the western idea of democracy, didn’t love the way their homeland is governed, either. I definitely see their point.

And that is the point basically.

Sooner or later Saudi is going to have a problem. Or the oppression will slaughter as it is in Libya.

Isn’t it facinating the world now considers Gaddafi crazy, but what, Irans dictator, he’s sane? How’s that working? What a horror show that is.🤷

As the decades transpire, the line between peace loving, “mainstream Islam” and the radical/extremist Islam becomes more and more blurred.

God bless the peace loving mainstream muslims… in whatever extant remnant they may exist.

The radical/extremist/pseudo-muslms are waging a “religious” war in the world and upstaging the peace loving, mainstream muslims. So much, that no one can hear the outraged voice of the peace loving, mainstream muslims.

Do you still want to immigrate to the KSA? You expressed that desire a couple of years ago.

The peace loving Muslims are only living in the secular countries where they know what the freedom is, and in the eyes of the radical/extremist Muslims they are not considered to be 100% Muslims because they do not fully implement the Islamic law.

There you have it. Look at the USA right now today. One only needs to closely watch the news.

Its the Muslims who are peace-loving, who are turning in radical Islamic terrorists to the government here. And they are in turn placed at risk, and have been advised from the on-set by the Imams to remain silent. 🤷 Its in the courts and news here today with the 50 terrorists arrested from the last two years. All Islamic.

Imagine that!

One doesn’t consider the other to be Muslim and vis e versa.
