No, you do not need to repeat yourself in order to speak to your Priest about things discussed during your confession. However, if you wish to speak to him about it, YOU must approach him. the priest cannot discuss your confession outside, take any action based on anything you have said. If you have something to discuss outside confession, make an appointment in the normal way and bring up the topic. I don’t think so. Just say “Father, can we talk about those things about my future I expressed to you last ___(thursday, week, whatever).” Unfortunately he doesn’t hear about vocations everyday so he will remember. If he thinks it improper (which I am sure he wont) he’ll let you know. More likely he’ll make some time to sit down with you. Not a big deal either way. Just give him a call.Yes, this is really the situation. It came between the “confess me, father” and absolution, so I assume it’s bound by the seal, but I’m not sure. It’s kind of unfortunate because now if I want to talk to him more, I need to explain everything all over again!

Can we talk a bit more about that?” I don’t need to explain it all over again unless he forgot what we talked about.I don’t think so.
