The Crucifixion as reality and the establishment of an order. Christ in the center. As a man and as Truth.

Two thieves crucified at either hand of Christ. At one hand, the thief converts to Christ and sees and goes to paradise. On the other hand, the thief is anti-Christ and, because of his own character, he does not enter.

The Road of Adam and Eve. The road of toil and pain and death. The call to the take up the Cross. The Cross of toil and pain and death.

Jesus lived. He walked upon the road of Adam and Eve.
Jesus died. He received the punishment of Adam and Eve. Jesus rose again. He glorifies God the Father.

I walk the road of Adam and Eve. It is my natural road. I will die. I pray that I can see the justice and glorify Christ that I may also enter into paradise with him.
 
That does seem like a safe viewpoint. I don’t get from the way the text is written that I am meant to believe this man also entered into paradise. I understand that these two thieves are contrasted against each other.
 
What does the Bible say, quote the passages and lets examine them 🙂

42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.

43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.

44 And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.

45 And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.

Are you saying that he might have only misunderstood? Because I have heard it taught and seen this scene depicted in such a way that the one crucified with Jesus, who did not seem to fear God or regard Jesus as the Son of God, was mocking him like those on the ground who mocked him.

Are you saying that we can’t know if any of these people were unable to enter the Kingdom of God due to their behavior? That suggestion doesn’t seem right to me. Can a person enter without converting and passing through the gate?
 
I am saying from reading any version of the Gospel , as this is Gospel, that there is nothing mentioned about what happens to the other thief.

We cannot assume something that is not written. We know Jesus died before both thieves. They had their legs broken. Jesus was already dead.

We do not know what was going through their hearts with such a torturous and painful death, on the same hill and day as Jesus.

Both thieves were sinners as are we all. Jesus came to call sinners. The thief, along with all those on the ground mocking Jesus, may well have been converted. We don’t know. We only know what the Gospel tells us about what was happening at the time.

Firstly, the Kingdom of God was announced by Jesus as being here and near, as well as in the supernatural realm. This is evidenced in the miracles Jesus performed, the cures and healings. In raising people from the dead, in feeding thousands, walking on water, calming storms.
Jesus spoke of the Kingdom of God on earth in His parables, and of the Kingdom in heaven.

we don’t know if these people converted. Its not stated.
We know God is mercy. God forgives and God loves us.

Are you Catholic or another denomination?

The Catholic bibles also say today also. That is the particular judgement. The other may have been judged to hell or to purgatory, it is unknown.

Luke 23:43
