I couldn’t figure out which forum to put this in so I choose this.

Today I was flipping thru the religious channels on Direct TV and I seen a thing on a non catholic channel “The Sermons of Sister Jane”. I first read the description on the channel and it turns out its not religious, but it so happens to be placed right after the religious channels. I turn it on to see what its about and the first thing I hear from this women is “The church should be ordaining women!” The women goes on to bad month the pope, and the authority of the church. I caught the tale end of this and I was sickened from it. They make her look like a saint because she helps the poor. I have no problem with that, but with the way they smear the church and make it look evil. Has anyone else seen this despicable documentary and what are their thoughts?

And you expected to hear the teachings of the Church actually SUPPORTED in the popular media?

Hi RedFoxFan45.

I haven’t seen the documentary but have come in contact with various radical feminist groups who see almost everything as oppression against women. It may be something from that quarter. ??

If she is helping people that’s great. I think the views you say she expresses are becoming quite outdated now though

Perhaps it’s something of a leftover from the 60’s ? They all seem to be quite old now who articulate that view.

Was there anything in particular that you thought offensive ?

Interesting as you say that it was just after the religious channels. Can you remember the name of the channel ?
