Hello! I heard a while back that each person is most affected by a one of the Seven Deadly Sins- some people multiple ones. These are the sins that are almost always the basis for other sins.
Anyways, I believe that my prime deadly sin is Pride. I’ve been blessed in so many ways by God, but I hadn’t attributed these blessings as gifts from God, rather as of my doing alone. I also realized that I need very much to grow in charity and to love others more as Jesus told us to. This, among other things, has cultivated a very prideful attitude in me. I didn’t fully realize this until I began looking more into our faith, especially the Holy Sacrifice, the Mass.
This morning, as I was reflecting on God and myself before morning Mass began, this prayer came to me. I’d like to share it with you all because of two reasons: God calls us to share the blessings that we are given, such as this prayer, and I believe that it may help others who need to get rid of pride.
Oh Blessed Lord Jesus, wrench from my heart the vile poison of pride, that seeks to destroy my very being, and fill my heart with Humility from Yours.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on me, a most wretched sinner, and forgive me.
Oh Lord, I love You with all my heart, and I beg you to grant me the grace to love You more and more each day; please, Oh Lord, make my heart like Yours.
Oh Blessed Mother Mary, pray for me, and ask your Son, our Lord, to have mercy on me.
Amen.
