No doubt, Polita, that the Antichrist has been prefigured in many evil men: the Bible provides a few types historically. Traditionally Alexander the Great was seen as a kind of antichrist and, yes, Adolf Hitler too but for some Napoleon is also one.Dear 1AugustSon7:

**Revelation 13
1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.**
Verse 1 relates to the abrupt manifestation of Antichrist’s world empire (The New World Order) on seven continents, divided into ten states, ruled by ten governors, and over all those heads the name of blasphemy…Adolf Hitler (the predestined clone, the Antichrist).
Verse 2 describes the New World Order in allegorical terms. Interestingly the official national animal of Germany is the eagle…but the unofficial national animal is the LEOPARD! I don’t really understand the distinction…but the German government has adopted the eagle…it seems other influential Germans have unofficially adopted the LEOPARD!
Google: “National animal” and you will find a few sites verifying the LEOPARD as the “unofficial national animal of Germany,” Why?
In any case, I have seen Biblical interpretations of a LEOPARD beast in Daniel that refer to GERMANY.
So, allegorically the New World Order will have a German body (ruling leadership), the feet of a bear (Russian military), and the mouth of a lion (English will be the common New World Order language).
What was that about the feet of a BEAR - RUSSIA?
Google: U.N. Charter Military Control
According to the Charter, **PERMANENT control of the UN Military resides with the Undersecretary General for Political and Military Affairs. These are nearly all Russians **(some say all are Communists). Here is a list of office holders from 1945 to 1992. Don’t have the very latest names, but the trend is clear.
•Arkady Sobolev–USSR (1946-1949)
•Konstantin Zinchenko—USSR (1949-53)
•Ilya Tehernychev—Ygoslavia (1954-1957)
•Anatoly F. Dobrynin—USSR (1958-1960)
•Georgi Ptrovich Arkadev—USSR (1960-1962)
•Eugeny Dmiterievich Kiselev—USSR (1962-1963)
•Vladimir Pavolovich Suslov—USSR (1963-1963)
•Alexie E. Nesterenko—USSR (1965-1968)
•Leonid N. Kutakov—USSR (1968-1973)
•Arkady N. Shevchenko—USSR (1973-1978)
•Mikhail D. Sytenko—USSR (1978-1981)
•Viacheslav A. Ustinov—USSR (1981-1986)
•Uasiliy S. Safronchuk—USSR (1987-1992)
•Vladimir Petrovsky—Russia , “former USSR (1992-)
•James O. C. Jonah—Sierra Leone (Co-chairman)
It looks like James O.C. Jonah held a temporary or figurative post only (Co-chairman).
All of the others are RUSSIANS!
I think we should stick, however, to what the Scriptures are telling us: we need to listen attentively to what the Scripture itself has to say. Again, the bear claws describe behaviour or action or policy as the Leopard symbolized speed or rapidity.
The sea in the Bible is sometimes a threatening symbol and often refers to people and nations generally. Hence Our Lord’s calming of the sea of Galilee can be interpreted symbolically as rescuing the Church (Peter’s barque/ship) through the tumults of world history: wars, revolutions, etc. The number ten, however, can be understood as whole or total - I forget exactly the proper biblical (Christian) numerological symbolism of the number ten: I would recommend Saint Augustine’s the City of God for a brief overview of basic Christian numerology based on the Bible, not to be confused with needlessly advanced and complicated systems of numerology. Certainly Apocalyptic literature uses a numerical symbolism (famously in the case of the 1,000 year reign of Christ and the saints: 1,000 means forever, eternal, total and perfect if I recall).
Something like Blitzkrieg, certainly, might be suitably represented by a leopard in Biblical/Apocalyptic symbolism: still, we must listen to the Scriptures. I strongly recommend carefully and attentively reading the relevant Apocalyptic literature: most of it is poetry and poetry likes to use symbolism or allegory to describe. Like a people’s poetic tradition, imagery is developed and enriched over time. I doubt very much we are going to need to know who’s been undersecretary at the UN for the past 50 years to identify the end times or the Antichrist. The Church will certainly know that what is happening is undeniably evil and that the Antichrist is a very evil man.
I also recommend reading St. Augustine’s the City of God for a rough but still good idea of how the Church reads the Scriptures in this regard - for how the Church, so to speak, ‘thinks’ when reading these things. It does not sound conspirational or like being a police Detective or Sherlock Holmes.
Peace be with you brother,
August.
