I think she does, at least so far. It may not be for everyone, but I don’t see anything off.
 
Wasn’t the “Singing Nun” Soeur Sourire in 1963 – singing “Dominique?” Or maybe I’m just dating myself.

If nothing else her presence on the stage might make young people curious about the vocation and what it involves.

I remember the ‘singing nun’ of my era, Sr Janet Mead was lovely and well received in the mainstream market at the time.

Anyway, the 1st ep of the Live phase was today, and from what I understand, Sr. Cristina moved on. 🙂 I’m sure (or at least I hope) it’ll be on the Italy’s the Voice Youtube Page pretty soon. Can’t wait to watch it!

I guess I’ll add too that I thought in the 2nd song that Sr. sang, which was “Girls Just Want to Have Fun”, I thought her opponent Luna, did a better job, at least voice-wise, but I think that particular song really suited Luna, though. I remember when I was watching it for the 1st time, I was thinking that Sr. is being outsung by Luna, and I can tell it wasn’t an easy choice for J-Ax to choose Sr. over Luna. Right after he chose her, though, it really seemed like he had a bit of a guilt look on his face because he probably felt that Luna sang extremely well (perhaps even better than Sr.), and didn’t deserve to be knocked out already.

The third song Sr. sang, “Hero”, I thought she did a great job, and definitely sounded better than her competitor Benedetta. I do hope that Sr. can develop another different sounding high-note, though, since the high-note that she sung at the end of the song seemed like it didn’t fit at all. It literally made me go :eek:
