We had no procession at the vigil mass, but we did receive some actual teaching regarding the Passover remembrance which devout Jews enter into. It is not merely a cognitive recollection of historical events, but a participation in that event, with God being present. This is precisely what the mass is.

Today, I experienced an increase in peace. The peace of Christ. It is comforting, reassuring.

I went to a solemn EF Mass last Thursday that had a procession inside the Church (probably because it was in the evening, the church is not in the best neighborhood, and the sidewalks and other church property not big enough to have an appropriate outdoor procession).

Then on Sunday I went to an OF Mass that had a big procession outdoors.

Not all the parishes here do the procession, so I just googled for one that was having it. You can get a plenary indulgence for participating in it.

Wow I never knew that you’ll get a plenary indulgence when you participate. I guess you learn something knew daily

You have to fulfill all the other conditions for a plenary indulgence (be in a state of grace when doing the work, go to confession within 20 days, receive Holy Communion within a few days of doing the work, and pray for the Holy Father’s intentions, as well as having no attachment to sin).

But yeah, you can get a plenary for being in a Eucharistic procession any day of the year. Some shrines have them on days other than Corpus Christi. I know when I visited Fatima, there was one that just happened to be going on the first night I arrived.
