Dear Brothers and Sisters,
On this Holy Thursday, we are drawing so close to the death/Resurrection and we continue to ponder Mary’s part in the Passion of Jesus. We will end this hymn on Holy Saturday and spend that day with Mary as she waited for Jesus to rise – just as He said He would. Today truly is “Holy Thursday” within “Holy Week”. By God’s Grace. let us continue to hear deeply within our hearts, Jesus’s words from His Cross; and do the Truth we hear: "Behold your Mother:
Tonight we celebrate His Last Supper and we see priests reenact the gesture of His Love in the washing of feet. How beautiful is this action of Christ for us! Pope Benedict in his book, “Jesus of Nazareth” vol. 2 writes that the Washing of His apostles’ feet summarizes His entire ministry!
Jesus comes to us humbly through Mary and continues to wash us, to cleanse us, in His Love. the newness of His new Commandment – Mary our Mother already understood — "Love one another AS I Have Loved You!"
Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your Faithful. Kindle in us the Fire of Your Love – enable us to learn from Jesus as Mary learned. Enable us to die to “ourselves” and Live, remaining in His Love, to love Him and to love others as He has loved us!

Do we ask sincerely, and from the depths of our hearts to “bear the death of her dying Son, Who is now our Brother, Son of our Father?” What is the measure of our love for God and for Mary, His Mother whom He gave to us from His Cross?Virgin of all virgins best,
Listen to my fond request:
Let me share thy grief divine.
Let me to my latest breath,
In my body bear the death
Of that dying Son of thine.
