I didn’t say your friend would become an ex-friend.

I said that if I had a “friend” who wrote the things about Catholics that you have been writing about Jews on this board***, ***I would not, nay, could not remain their friend.

Indeed, I find a singular lack of Catholic Christian charity in your posts, similar to some of the more rabid anti-Catholic postings I have seen here.

I don’t know much about “righteousone” personally, but I’d venture to say its a ‘she’, just call it my feminine intuition :)…but I am certain she is of “a certain age”, based on the prejudicial language used and related comments. I just can’t shake this feeling that she is a middle-aged lady who has the Infant Jesus of Prague in her picture window (whose clothing is changed every liturgical season, of course), has a SERIOUSLY large Miraculous Medal around her neck, crosses herself every time she passes a church, and has a little yappy dog named Peppy. All she’d have to do is admit to being from South Philly and it would seal the deal.

I’ve run across ‘that type’ before, suffice it to say! :rolleyes:
 
I think I know that lady from South Philly. She moved to South Jersey and was my neighbor.

I thought I was put on your ‘ignore’ list Hashem? It doesn’t matter what I am. I could say the same thing to you. That you must have a gigantic Star of David on your living room wall, that you have only travel magazines to Israel, that you belong to the ACLU, and that you are a total anti-Catholic in your under tones.
And you would be totally surprised at who I was. Grow up.

I don’t know HashemEchad, but she doesn’t seem like the ACLU type. I’m a part of the ACLU conspiracy, and we can usually smell one another at a distance, ya know.

I wonder if I invited you both over to my place for a bit of kosher barbeque (not on Friday, mind you) and small talk if I wouldn’t find you had a lot more in common than you think…you might even become friends. Imagine that.

What the person you were replying to does not grasp, is that even when you put someone on ignore, you still see what they write when someone else quotes them to reply.

No, I would never belong to the ACLU. No, I do not have travel guides to Israel, no I am not anti-Catholic, but yes, in fact I do have a big Jewish star hanging on my living room wall! Its brass, made in the Holy Land, and had been my late father’s.

One out of four’s not bad! 😃

There are some here who complain that Jews always talk about the Nazi genocide, and they also claim that Jews killed Jesus.

I happened to read this news article on AOL this morning: note some of the reader’s comments at the bottom.

I’ve read many news stories on AOL, and the comments pertaning to Jewish issues ALWAYS include the ignorant ones about Jews “killing Jesus”, as if that belief somehow justifies the Holocaust.

THIS is the reason why Jews try to put a stop to that teaching…because it often erupted, historically, in physical attacks against Jews (the Spanish Inquisition being just one of many such attacks.)

Jews moaned and groaned about the Passion of The Christ movie, saying it was anti-semitic and they would be picked on and so forth…well, the man who played the Roman soldier who beat Jesus was mostly picked on and his daughter was picked on in school. NOT ONE episode involved any Jews during and after the making of this movie.
STOP DENYING THE GOSPELS HASHEM, IT IS WHAT IT IS.
