I have many years. Fear of vulnerability, failure, rejection, transparency, criticism, the truth. Most importantly the fear I’m not good enough and the reality that I’m not perfect. You’re supposed to be put together. I sabotage my efforts to improve because I fear failure. I fear criticism. I fear the reality of people not liking or accepting me and fear looking wrong in front of others. I cannot find peace if I’m too scared.

Do not fear what other people think of you. You should only fear what God thinks of you.
So trust in God, and don’t even care about if others are judging you. That’s their problem!

There is fear
There is failure
There is the weight of others’ expectations bearing down on you
And yet
At the bottom of the well
Put down the shovel
Breathe the clear air
Spot the sun peeking down
Faith is a ropeladder out of fear
and the gulping darkness

It’s okay. Not angry. I’ve isolated and alienated myself by obsessing over my issues.

There was a time when I pretty much feared life, feared God’s will because I might not like it.

Surrender was the only answer that helped me let it all go and find peace.

Just be yourself, imitate Jesus amd Mary, dont worry about what others think.

Whatever you have done, understand that if your confessed with a spirit of repentance, It’s OVER.
Don’t dwell on the past, forgive people who continue to throw things in your face. and move forward.

FEAR is the tool of Satan.

He wants your soul to be at a place of unrest. That’s how he gets under our skin.

Do not permit it.
You are the daughter of a King.

Love Jesus, trust Jesus, work on your relationship with Him.

And be patient. Everything will fall into place for you on His time, not yours.

Here’s one of my “ personalized “ prayers - that I say at night.

Jesus,
Help me not to be angry by,
or have the fear of,
———————— in my life
or the sadness there of.

( I say the prayer six times - adding each concern )
  1. Criticism
  2. Poverty
  3. Loss of Love
  4. Old Age
  5. ILL Health
  6. Death

Someone said perfect love casts out fear. They are right about that. The only way I have overcome my fears is to love. Love your enemies. Love the trials in life. Love and help others more than yourself. But also love yourself and know that God loves you more than you will ever be able to imagine. Let the love of God emanate from your being shining brighter than a thousand suns. And remember that despite external circumstances, your internal state can always remain at peace if you will learn to LOVE! And only the Holy Trinity can teach us about this perfect love…the love of God that no man can fathom, but that everyone can experience if they will just take the leap…

Hm. Almost fitting I decided to sign up for these forums just a few minutes ago with the user 1john418, or the verse that others have been pointing towards.

I have felt the pressures of fear and anxiety pierce through my daily life, and I have had aspects of my life such as my health and faith affected. When my fears first began, I was upset with God, I felt as though it was unfair. However, with the passage of time, I began to understand how my perceived weaknesses were actually strengths. Paradoxical, of course, but it is the same with most of God’s amazing plan. We are washed white by the blood of the lamb. Jesus died to give us new life. The last shall be first.

Try and see your fear as an opportunity to grow closer with God. An advantage that comes to mind is the opportunity for you to find a new kind of dependability in Christ. Imagine the burden being lifted from your shoulders if you could just dwell in His Divine heart. Sift through your fear. Ask yourself, “why is God’s permissive will allowing me to suffer this?” Surely, He must be seeking out some greater good.

God Bless!!
