Okay.

My question has been answered.

Mods, if you see fit, this thread can be closed.

I’m gonna stick around though haha

Technicality- The EF is more than just Latin, but I get what you mean

Art. 2. In Masses celebrated without a congregation, any Catholic priest of the Latin rite, whether secular or regular, may use either the Roman Missal published in 1962 by Blessed Pope John XXIII or the Roman Missal promulgated in 1970 by Pope Paul VI, and may do so on any day, with the exception of the Easter Triduum. For such a celebration with either Missal, the priest needs no permission from the Apostolic See or from his own Ordinary.

From the letter that Benedict wrote introducing SP. I bolded for emphases.

If that current status is one of separation, what’s holding them back from full communion? Why won’t they join the FSSP or a similar order?
I think they would want separate status, instead of being subservient to another order like the FSSP. IMO, if the SSPX were offered sui juris status, they would go for it. As you may know, there are more than a dozen Eastern sui juris churches, but only one in the west.

So? That doesn’t mean it is still not a valid, teaching council.
If you do not accept it, you are separating yourself from the Church, just like the SSPX did, hence this thread.

So a dogmatic Council is on the same level as a non-dogmatic one?

Vatican II did not declare any new dogmas, it expanded the teaching on dogmas to bring us out of the middle ages.

The same level of assent? And let me ask you this: did Vatican II enjoy infallibility?

There was nothing wrong with the Middle Ages. Vatican II just made things worse.

There is only one teaching that has ever invoked infalibility.
Please see upthread.

That is your opinion.
Many, many people around the world, including most clergy, do not agree with you.

Nothing wrong with the Middle Ages. Maybe you should make that more specific. Plague comes to mind.

Disregard… posted on the wrong thread
