Quite honestly, I believe I have seen just this post. Are there others? Was she so bad? sorry, but what is an OP?

Peace.
yes there are others…yes she was that bad and an OP is Original Poster or Original Post

some people think that you might perhaps be stefany (The OP) in disguise as she was banned…your post does sound similar to her style of writing
Well now, that’s what I thought.😉

Sorry if I’m jumping to conclusions…it’s just she (the OP) was scary…in a :whacky: kinda way.

I thought the same thing…but lets give her the benefit of the doubt:) …I do agree the the OP was scary in a :whacky: way!!

I would like to find a beautiful statue of Our Lady of Fatima. This apparition and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel are two of my favorites. Last year, after wearing the Brown Scapular for a year or so, I was invested. Wow, did things start to change for the better as far as my prayer life. That being said, I still don’t believe believing in Marian apparitons is necessary to be a good Catholic.

Stephen_C-
are you just directing this at me or others too?
I have shown Christian charity with the OP…some in return would of been nice;)
I agree. You kinda had to be there Stephen…as in the nasty PM’s…it wasn’t pretty.

I am LOST and I have lost the thread entirely [pun intended].

Whats an Original Poster?

I didn’t pay too much attention to fatima. Always been a bit suspicious. Came to fatima only recently. Discovered how powerful it was.

Astonishing that 3 young illiterate girls could cite ocmplex doctrine and all of it in perfect harmony with church teaching, onl understood in its entirety by Doctorates

I understand…the OP has already been banned for that I suppose. Karin you are correct, I was directing this to others as well. Just did not want to see a feeding frenzy, that’s all. Anyway did not mean to offend…sorry bout that. 🙂

The three visionaries at Fatima were two girls and one boy… Lucia dos Santos and her cousins, Francisco and Jacinta Marto.

Funnily enough I wore the Brown Scapular in school for a little while but could never really get into it.

But I discovered the Miraculous Medal towards the end of High School and wore it on and off at various times - since Lent I’ve worn it constantly, only taking it off for showers 👍 fantastic graces from it. :yup:

It does take some getting used to. Now I feel naked w/o mine. I agree with you about the Miraculous Medal and the graces derived from it. I sewed one into the front flap of my scapular. St. Benedict is in the back flap.

Can I just say that I attended Fatima earlier this year and had the most phenomenal experience that I have never recovered from, nor do I wish to recover from it. It gave me a deeper sense of faith, to learn more about faith and more than anything it brought me closer to God through Jesus and Mary and the Holy Spirit.

It is a phenomenal place and I would recommend it to anyone. In preparation for going I would recommend pilgrims to read the book ‘The Children of Fatima’ by Leo Madigan.

God Bless.

The first argues thatFatima is contained in Sacred Scripture by way of prophecy; thus it would follow that it is part of the Deposit of Faith and we are bound to believe it. This position in today’s climate of skepticism and unbelief may seem to be extreme, but consider for a moment the possibility: In Apocalypse Chapter 12, we read the prophecy of the “Woman clothed with the sun”, who is engaged in battle with the dragon. This “woman” clearly is The Blessed Virgin, In fact, two popes have (name removed by moderator)lied that it is Our Lady of Fatima prophesied there.
If this were true, then, at the time of the Fatima apparitions, the Blessed Mother should have been engaged in battle with China, since the dragon has always been associated with that country and civilization. But the Blessed Mother was concerned with the country of Russia (which has always been denoted by a ‘bear’).
Papal implication is not a mandatory ex cathedra statement that requires the faithful to believe in Fatima. Also, concerning Revelation 12, the Blessed Mother was never “clothed with the sun” at Fatima, otherwise, she would have appeared in that way. The miracle of the sun was something quite different, and the children themselves did not see the sun at the time but were absorbed in another vision.
I do believe that Our Lady’s appearances at Fatima were a great grace for the world, and a great grace for the Church at the time to reveal what was about to happen to the Church and the world. in that sense, it was a continuation of Her appearances and messages at La Salette, France.

Hello everyone 🙂

I just read a book entitled ‘Sister Lucia’ by Mark Fellows. According to this author, Lucia was never satisfied that Our Holy Mother Mary’s instructions were fulfilled.

Mary had informed Lucia that the Pope and all the Bishops were to make formal services to consecrate Russia to the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Supposedly this was never done.

What is the truth in this issue?

Peace of Christ,
Shiphrae

so that other people can know what is going on in the world, and that they too may believe. Did you not understand part of the Deposit of Faith? Reread my post again. there are two theological positions which maintain that we are required to believe in the Message Our Lady gave at Fatima.
Don’t get upset, but could this woman not mean also Christ Church “his bride is engaged in battle with dragon” The Sun “metdafor” meaning God is our light our source and power. evil Lucifer?

Just asking Thanks God Bless

In the bible, the dragon symbolizes the devil.
