She lived as an ordinary wife, but she became extraordinary because she would not turn away from her faith, until she died at the hands of the authorities because of this. It was the time of the Protestant Reformation when the new religion took over whole countries like England.
 
She is one of my favorite saints. Just an ordinary woman, wife, and mother who found herself in an unforeseen, terrible situation and came through with flying colors. What an inspiration!
