Greetings and peace be with you Steve,

Thank you for the correction that the Bible is full of labels for people, and yes I guess we all want to be individual and also be recognised as a part of a larger group.

I think the problem stems from saying someone is Iraqi or a Muslim and I can then say God is on my side. Somehow it kind of justifies why I might fear and hate Iraqi people. When I make this statement it ignores the fact that all these Iraqi and Muslims are created by the same God who created me.

I wasn’t pointing fingers at any ONE. I made it a global endictment. You were blaming Chrstians, and the “white man” rather than owning up to your own history before Christianity ever got to this continent. I was trying to interject balance.

White Christians have a pattern of going forth and conquering other people, Choctaw had no such pattern, they mostly kept to themselves.

Is that so? So, tell me…why was Moundville in Tuscaloosa Alabama surrounded by a wooden palisade wall. Or why were the Natchez so warlike? Or why did the Tunica have to move? Do you blame all of this on the Creek? It is very tempting to portray the Choctaw as pacifists but they were every bit a part of post-Mississippian culture. Let us not make said cultures into something they were not. They are the direct descendants of that same Mississippian culture which featured walled towns all across the South immediately before DeSoto’s expedition came through.
