The stupidy of friends

I have a couple of friends in my youth group who are planning this big joke where they will do one of those online ordinations under false names and if anybody catchs them on it they just say that the “minister” is dead. Now I have already slapped them about the heads for thinking dumb like that but they are stilll going though with it because they think because they are doing it under false names they arent going to go to hell for it because they are just kidding should I worry that they will burn like twigs for this or just call them out on their bad taste in jokes

Why don’t you mention it to your youth minister. Might be a good topic of discussion, the sacrament of ordination and why it is sacred. Agreeably, it’s stupid and a perfectly good waste of money…why don’t you suggest you use the money for a better purpose, like that fund drive for your mission trip or give to St.Vincent dePaul’s fund for the poor. Anything but wasting it on a bogus ordination certificate which they can print themselves on their computer and not just hand to some scam operation.

online ordination is when some heratical church on the internet says we can make you a honest to goodness minister in just a few seconds so you write down some stuff and click send and then ALAKAZAM! youre wearing clerics just kidding on the last part but its a dumb thing that even most protestant churchs agree that its not valid and thats saying something

You sure do play the high and mighty role. There’s going to be alot in this world you’re going to disagree with. But when it’s a harmless gag, for whatever reason, do you really have to rain on their parade? If they were planning on killing a cat/dog/animal/person, then you’d be well within your rights to lecture and debase them.

But when it involves a useless piece of paper…sure it’s not something MENSA would pull off, but w/e, you guys sound young enough. Is this really a situation that warrants your behavior and attitude towards them?

And if you really feel it’s against your faith, tell them you think it’s wrong and have no part in it. This way you’ve fulfilled your responsibility to God and your friends.

I really feel your attitude and behavior has been pretty poor, but who am i to judge?

If I was at any way showed that I was damning them, please feel free to show me in either case If I was really being “high and mighty” I would have said something else to the tune of HOW DARE THEY!!! and stuff like that . We were all kids once and we all have done stupid stuff at the very least they dint mean it so dude seriously chill
