Sadly, the secular world doesn’t live by God’s Law. What laws do they follow. If the world had it’s own 10 commandments, this is what they would look like:
  1. Thou shalt worship, or choose not to worship whatever thou pleases.
  2. Thou shalt create whatever image or concept of God that pleases or suits you.
  3. Thou shalt blaspheme as often as thine heart dictates, for the sake of ‘being honest’, ‘telling it like it is’, or ‘speaking thy mind’.
  4. Sleep in on the sabbeth day, since it’s old fashoned to keep it holy and go to church.
  5. Rebell and openly disrespect thy mother and thy father.
  6. Thou shalt kill.
  7. Though shalt commit adultery, lest thou be repressed.
  8. Thou shalt steal, as long as nobody can catch you.
  9. Though shalt lie, fib, tell stories, and little white lies.
  10. Thou shalt, and should covet thy neighbor’s wife and property and do whatever you can to aquire it for yourself, lest others think thou art not ambitious.

And of course Jesus’ summarization of the commandments into these two:
  1. Thou shalt love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.
  2. Love your neighbor as yourself.
would certainly be replaced with:
  1. It’s all about ME.
  2. If it feels “good”, do it.

…or the satanist view coined by Aleister Crowley, “do what thou wilt, shall be the whole of the law”.

It is sad and so true!

Chris LaRock:
  1. Thou shalt worship, or choose not to worship whatever thou pleases.
This should be expanded to:
  1. Thou shalt worship, or choose not to worship whatever thou pleases. If ye worship in public the one true God and mention His Son by name, ye shall know that ye commiteth grave offense to he that worships as he pleases or does not worship.

I like to use humor to make a point. I thought some people would be unhappy that I used the Protestant 10 Commandments as the model, but everyone’s been ok with it so far. 👍
