Does anyone here know exactly what the third secret of Fatima is?
And if not, why do you think it isn’t being revealed to us?

There seems to be two different texts of the 3rd secret.

The true text written by Sister Lucia on 1 sheet of paper “Contains the words of Our Lady”. The text which was released on June 26, 2000 by the Vatican contains “Text that does not contain any words of our Lady” and is on 4 sheets of paper.
Sister Lucia’s “Text was transferred to the Holy Office - April 16, 1957”. The Vatican states the text was “Transferred to the Holy Office on April 4, 1957.” The 1 sheet of paper text was read by “Pope John Paul II in 1978.” According to the Vatican the text (4 sheets of paper) was read by “Pope John Paul II on July 18, 1981.” Pope John Paul II consecrated the world on June 7, 1981 after reading the text of 1978 but before reading the 4-page text which he was supposedly had only read on July 18, 1981. The 1 sheet of paper text was “Written as a letter (addressed and signed).” The 4 sheet page text was “Not written as a letter (not addressed or signed), but as an entry in Sister Lucy’s notebook.” On the other hand, the 1 sheet text was “Stored by the Pope’s beside” and the 4 sheet text is “Stored in the Holy Office building”. The 1 sheet of text “Explains the vision”. The 4 sheet of text “Describes the vision”.

The above facts prove that there are two texts of the 3rd secret.

There must be a misunderstanding. Accroding to Socci, there are two texts of the Secret. I do not believe that it has been all revealed. JP2 wanted it revealed but was stopped by the prelates. The book is very well documented…

The problem the words of Our Lady are not included in the one revealed June 26th. Our Lady explained hell…and the other prophecies but we do not have Her words for this Secret. 'And the dogma in Portugal, etc

I see that Fatima Crusader is commenting on Socci also. Although there have been uncharitable remarks on Fr Gruner on different threads, and I, knowing full well that he is disobedient…let us keep this in perspective. The priests who are pedophiles in the Church have been covered up for years by Bishops. Although, we should very well pray for these same priests and bishops…that being said, they have been treated much more kindly than Fr Gruner has been through the years! We worry about Fr Gruner’s causing many peopel to be disobedient, we forget the many, many victims of abuse that may never get over this and have lost their faith for life! Fr Groeschel has told us to pray for the many victims. They are surely more in need.

So, let us not be so harsh…and condemn. There are so many more sins out there being committed by many renegade priests that don’t get this kind of abuse!

I am in no mind of condemning any of our priests…for they will have to answer to God themselves. As Fr Corapi says. Let us pray for all…

The “meme” that many of these groups have been promoting is that the Catholic Church fell into error after Vatican II, with some of them asserting that the council itself, as well as the post-counciliar popes, are heretical. In the meantime, who is the real authority? The Fatimist organs, the loose traditionalist networks such as some of the links I’ve noted above, have set themselves as spokespeople for a parallel or competing Magisterium against the heretical/fallen Roman Catholic Church. Part of the “authority” of these groups (such that you could call it that) is that they claim to be standing with Heaven (and Our Lady of Fatima), and that the Roman Catholic Church and its Popes are disobeying Heaven (and Our Lady of Fatima).

The latest ‘one’ to go around that I heard is the Pope on pilgrimage at Medjugorje as the last resort to fend off a terrible persecution in that part of the world.

Pope Benedict has never been on a pilgrimage to Medjugorjie because he has said that Catholics themselves are forbidden to go there on pilgrimages, but it is alright for them to visit. Apparently there are no reasons to believe that the Blessed Mother is in fact appearing there. After all, not one of the six visionaries ever sought a vocation.

Here’s more on the unholy alliance between SSPX organs Catholic Family News and “The remnant”, and Fr. Nicholas Gruner. They do indeed reject the post-Conciliar church to its face. In this essay, in short, Gruner is a victim of the post-conciliar church, the post-conciliar church and Vatican II are in error, SSPX is not in schism, and that John Paul II and Benedict XVI cannot be trusted. These are the groups banging the drums the most loudly over the Third Secret of Fatima. I have even seen posts from members here (who have not identified themselves as SSPX) who are arguing some of the subthemes of the essay (to wit, tying in the the Catholic Church’s intolerance of SSPX to its tolerance of abuse-friendly clergy).

How is Father Grunar causing many to be disobeient? If it wasn’t for Father Nicholas Grunar, I would never had known the full true story of Our Lady of Fatima. I remember once seeing the movie as a little girl (approx. age 8). The movie moved me to amazement! At that time, I was not sure if it was a true story, but in my heart I wished it to be a true story. It was not until around (approx. age 30 is when I read a pamphlet/booklet that someone gave me (The Fatima Center) that I found the story to be true. I read about the messages that Our Lady gave/warned us about. Please note that I converted to Catholism around the age of 25 (formally protestant). During the five years, from age 25 to 30, no one, not even a priest informed me nor taught me about The Miracle of the Sun. I never asked because I totally forgot about it. After reading that booklet, I immediately remembered seeing the movie as a child. I asked my parish priest about it and he immediately told me not to believe anything about it and stated that Father Nicholas Grunar was suspended. It took me by surprise and I wondered why this story (The Miracle of the Sun) has never been preached or taught. The parish I belonged to at the time is named “Our Lady of Fatima”. It just seems bizarre to me that a parish called “Our Lady of Fatima” did not teach me about the Miracle of the Sun. I am still a Roman Catholic and will remain until my death. I know in my heart this is the one true Faith. I am a witness. I have had many/numerous graces from Our Lady that I can fill a book. So I say, no Father Nicholas Grunar is not being disobedient to the Holy Mother. She wishes that many more would believe and know the true full story of the Miracle of the Sun

Archbishop Sheen from way back when. He use dot preach on the television with his famous blackborad. He taught the faith in truth and justice. Very much loved priest, even to this day. Here is his biography:

That being said, and just because they confirm Socci’s book…doesn’t mean that Socci is part of any of this at all. Socci is highly respectful of the Vatican. Socci also quotes different Prelates on the abuse of the liturgy especially which has been predominate in many countries. That doesn’t mean that the Vatican Council was heretical. It is about those who have abused it.
