I especially found the part about Jesus’ cursing of the fig tree informative. It’s always been one of those actions of Jesus that puzzled me, and any commentaries I’ve previously read never gave it a meaning that satisfied or seemed complete to me. Wonder if Brant Pitre experienced the same thing and that’s what sent him digging further!?!
