The best way for any of us to be prepared is not by hording food, water and beeswax candles and holy water, but by frequent confession, receiving the Holy Eucharist, prayer, Eucharistic adoration. This is the best preparation any of us could ever have. And this is what Holy Mother Church teaches each of us. Lets look to the Church for the answer, not things that can distract us.
Prayers & Blessings

Amen!!!👍 👍

Welcome to the insane world of liberal Catholicism!
It’s actually more amusing than Conservatives and BEESWAX:D
The tin man in the Wizard of OZ was becoming a beehive does that count?
My God, have mercy on us. Praying to relics, Pictures of Mary on toast? Jesus in peanut butter and on waffles?

Now the ridiculous right wants us to carry beeswax? The bees are dying. The conservatives in the church are worried about plaster on the altar and the pews are empty. The church needs to focus on the real message of Jesus and not on hocus pocus Latin

Facing away from people? Jesus faced people on the cross! Hypocrites! You care about ritual and beeswax. You ignore real people. God is not in some silly box. God is Spirit! No wonder the Catholic Church is hemorrhaging from the inside. Silly traditions will not save it. It needs to return to the message of the Gospel.

Not superstitious nonsense!

**If you notice, this influx of seeing images of the Blessed Mother, Jesus or the saints on or in a variety of physical objects (bread, toast, trees, windows, etc.) are found mostly among immigrants who have come to our country and have carried their religious traditions with them.

As for beeswax, the Church has always used authentic wax for its candles because of its naturalness and very low smoke level.

You seem to be too heartless in your understanding about what some people need to grasp a sense of the sacred and to connect with God’s grace. The whole purpose of churches (whether it be Catholic or protestant) is to focus on the message of Jesus. When you group people together in any way, you get different dynamics and different needs. One needs to be attentive to all of these things. To call anyone hypocrite because their spiritual needs are not the same is yours is quite judgmental.

Silly box? I don’t consider the Tabernacle a “silly box.” Jesus is present to us in a variety of ways, and His presence in a tabernacle is just as real as other ways He reveals Himself to us.

In the Catholic tradition, God is not only Spirit, for He is also resurrected physical flesh… and comes to us in like form through the Eucharist. Either you don’t believe in the Real Presence, or you are not of our tradition. In either case, your judgments against us is abominable. Take the piece of wood out of your own eyes.**

Sometimes it is so easy to see a poster who knows little or nothing about Catholicism.

Oh, well, at some point everyone becomes a Catholic.

All emphasis is mine.

This is one of the rudest and most blasphemous posts I have seen in quite some time here. Yet the poster appears to have barely skirted the forum rules here. There seems to much anger and arrogance in this person. It is unfortunate that this poster is actually doing the exact opposite of what he/she is pleading for in his/her post.
