I had the good Fortune to come across a book called ‘The Threshold of the Catholic Church’ written in the late 19th century by an english priest specifically for converts to the catholic faith. It’s a fascinating read explaining in detail all the beliefs and customs of The Catholic Faith as well as objections like to be raised against them and why these objections are in fact false. I was lucky enough to be able to get an original from the 1870’s but the entire book is available to read online here

The book will likely be of interest not only to those of us who have converted to the faith but to all catholics as it presents solid catholic doctrine in an easy to understand way.

Thank you for the reference - it is a wonderful book. I wish I’d had access to it when I converted some years ago, but better late than never!
