I am always happy to hear that soldiers were given the opportunity for mass.

I was also happy to see mention of Fr. Emil Kapaun. I wish he were a household name. Please read his story if you are not familiar with it.
 
I am glad to see that this wonderful event was written up in the secular newspaper so that everyone could see it. What a beautiful way to evangelize the community.

During the Korean War, soldiers pinned down in their foxholes during battle were sometimes startled to find Fr. Kapaun calmly walking over to join them and offering a piece of fruit or praying with them.
