In the book of Genesis, after Adam and Eve partook of the Fruit of Knowledge, they both realized they were naked and felt the need to cover up. Here’s the thing though: eating of the Fruit marked the first sin. But if indeed being naked was wrong, wouldn’t that mean that Adam and Eve had been doing something wrong the whole time, even before eating the Fruit? Of course the main argument against this would be to declare that being naked is not wrong. But the fact that they felt the need to correct their nakedness after obtaining the ability to distinguish good from evil implies that being naked is a bad thing, and that eating the Fruit made them realize that it was wrong. For if being naked wasn’t wrong, they would never have felt the need to cover themselves.
So at this point, I can only see two possible conclusions: Either 1) Adam and Eve had been sinning even before they ate the Fruit, or 2) They made a moral misjudgment and mistakenly believed that being naked was wrong.
