I though he meant he sees seeking G-d first in Catholic teaching with some in Orthodox and least in Islam.
Thank you Steven, this is exactly what I meant.

I am 90% Catholic,
7% Apostolic Orthodox ( I believe in some Orthodox Books as a third tier to to our canon)
and 3% Islam ( I do not believe angels are genderless, but are male)

sorry if I lost my temper earlier.

FYI Quran did not specify the gender of the angels per (Quran 17:40):
أفأصفاكم ربكم بالبنين وأتخذ الملائكة إناثا إنكم لتقولون قولا عظيما
What! has then your Lord preferred to give you sons, and (for Himself) taken daughters from among the angels? Most surely you utter a grievous saying.

Hi Steven,…

Your style of debate is kind of offensive actually to anyone who posts. So refrain from this and try to get to the point. Irking posters by their own post is not a good way to tell them that their post is wrong…
Hi Rikkk, I think i see what you mean and owe you a big apology, sorry.
I pray may G-d forgive me.

what about?

[53:27] Those who disbelieve in the Hereafter have given the angels feminine names.

peace

David:)

you’re completely right, I should not have lost my temper,
peace and humility are more important than making a point and offending people.

David

@all please pray for me as I have a screaming headache.

You would if you suspect that there is gold or silver inside of them.
In Catholic ministry of St Vincent de Paul Society members are encouraged to seek a human face of Yeshua (pbwh) in those they assist. They assist people of all religions and people often involved in serious crime. So from your analogy i see a likeness.

Bless you pray well and stay well

:hug1: it seems your 3% believe in Islam is based on wrong interpretation of that verse…

You have to read it in Arabic to fully understand it, it actually criticize the unbelievers for calling the angels feminine names, and the second verse 53:28 points out the ignorance of those unbelievers.
إن الذين لا يؤمنون بالآخرة ليسمون الملائكة تسمية الأنثى وما لهم به من علم إن يتبعون إلا الظن وإن الظن لا يغني من الحق شيئا

Thank you, sir.

I suppose I am one of the Catholics you think was attacking you. I’m sorry you feel that way, that was not my intention at all. You seem to be confused in your faith, and I wanted to help. I am not a theologian and, recognizing my own limitations, I suggested a Bible study because I sincerely wish to see you straighten out your confusion. If I’m not mistaken, I believe Jesus instructed us to help each other on the path to salvation. In my own clumsy way, I attempted to do that.

But I persist in my assertion that Islam is NOT compatible with Christianity. The goal of Islam is to make the entire world Muslim. I know that will not happen, because Jesus promised us that “on this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of Hell will not prevail against it,” so I know the Catholic Church will always stand. But I just do not have patience with those who would try to further the Islamic agenda along.

I am not politically correct, and I do not apologize for not being so. I pray regularly for the Muslims, for their conversion to the true faith, which is Jesus Christ, because I wish to see them saved as well. If that makes me hateful, so be it.
