The ultimate truth is revealed to each of us who seek.
Hi
I agree with you with a little change, we sinful people donot get direct revelation ie Word of GodAllahYHWH except through ProphetsMessengers.
I would say : He who seeketh truth, would get it ultimately.
Thanks

But as for certain truth, no man has known it,
Hi
GodAllahYHWH reveals himself to the pious human beings called ProphetsMessenger, so they got certain truth. Hence I donot agree with your above notion.
Thanks

The Word of GodAllahYHWH is and had been the first/authentic/certain and primary source of human knowledge whether revealed on Moses/Buddha/Jesus/Muhammad or Mirza Ghulam Ahmad; it is of itself complete and without doubt and requires no external witnessing.

Where is the truth? Show me? Prove to me its the truth and i will believe!
Hi
I think I replied you. If I did not, I would say: The Word of GodAllahYHWH is and had been the first/authentic/certain and primary source of human knowledge whether revealed on Moses/Buddha/Jesus/Muhammad or Mirza Ghulam Ahmad; it is of itself complete and without doubt and requires no external witnessing.
Thanks

That’s not exactly a surprise!
The Word of GodAllahYHWH is and had been the first/authentic/certain and primary source of human knowledge whether revealed on Moses/Buddha/Jesus/Muhammad or Mirza Ghulam Ahmad; it is of itself complete and without doubt and requires no external witnessing.
Or not, as the case may be.

I would say that both are incorrect… the ultimate truth is the supreme being of the divine, which, unfortunately, defies all human understanding in our unperfected form.
Hi
I don’t agree that both are incorrect, to me only one is correct that is:The ultimate truth is that there is Truth
Thanks

You ask what is your opinion?
Is “ultimate” truth just one’s opinion?
Hi
One’s opinion is not necessarily the ultimate truth. The Word of GodAllahYHWH is truth and it had been always the first/authentic and primary source of human knowledge whether revealed on Moses/Buddha/Jesus/Muhammad or Mirza Ghulam Ahmad; it is of itself complete and without doubt and requires no external witnessing.
Thanks

Indeed, there is room for confusion based on language.
We can both agree on that.
Since you’ve established in your own mind that the Bible itself is faulty, I find it peculiar that you would now use it as an authoritative source to undermine my convictions.
I am using a source that you see as authoritative.
Please explain nirvana more to me.
Nirvana is not something to be explained, nirvana is something to be attained by following the Path.

All descriptions of nirvana are false; words can only ever be fingers pointing at the moon, they can never be the moon. It is like the difference between reading a book about swimming and actually getting into the pool.

Nirvana is the Third Noble Truth - the Cessation of Suffering.

There is, bhikkhus [monks], that base where there is no earth, no water, no fire, no air; no base consisting of the infinity of space, no base consisting of the infinity of consciousness, no base consisting of nothingness, no base consisting of neither-perception-nor-non-perception; neither this world nor another world nor both; neither sun nor moon. Here, bhikkhus, I say there is no coming, no going, no staying, no deceasing, no uprising. Not fixed, not movable, it has no support. Just this is the end of suffering.

Udana 8.1

There is, bhikkhus, a not-born, a not-brought-to-being, a not-made, a not-conditioned. If, bhikkhus, there were no not-born, not-brought-to-being, not-made, not-conditioned, no escape would be discerned from what is born, brought-to-being, made, conditioned. But since there is a not-born, a not-brought-to-being, a not-made, a not-conditioned, therefore an escape is discerned from what is born, brought-to-being, made, conditioned.

Udana 8.3

For the supported there is instability, for the unsupported there is no instability; when there is no instability there is serenity; when there is serenity there is no inclination: when there is no inclination there is no coming-and-going; when there is no coming-and-going there is no decease-and-uprising; when there is no decease-and-uprising there is neither “here” nor “beyond” nor “in between the two.” Just this is the end of suffering.

Udana 8.4
The second of these, Udana 8.3, is one of the most quoted descriptions of nirvana.
Followers of Christ have found their peace in this life. This is the primary point of the argument. If in the end we are wrong (and there is no God), we have lost nothing, though we have found peace in this life.
Excellent. You are following the Buddha’s advice:“Kalamas, when you yourselves know: ‘These things are good; these things are not blamable; these things are praised by the wise; undertaken and observed, these things lead to benefit and happiness,’ enter on and abide in them.”

Kalama sutta
Just as you know from your life that Christianity delivers what it promises, so I know from my life that Buddhism also delivers what it promises…

We can both agree on that.

I am using a source that you see as authoritative.

Then you should be wise in using one of my authoritative sources to dismiss miraculous and supernatural phenomena.

Again, if you want to raise these objections, fine. We will have answers for them if you really care to have them.

Nirvana is not something to be explained, nirvana is something to be attained by following the Path.

All descriptions of nirvana are false; words can only ever be fingers pointing at the moon, they can never be the moon. It is like the difference between reading a book about swimming and actually getting into the pool.

Likewise, heaven would be impossible to fully explain. The last two chapters of the Bible do a nice job though.

Excellent. You are following the Buddha’s advice:

I am referring to Pascal’s wager, and the point of his arugment you missed.

Kalama sutta[/indent]
Just as you know from your life that Christianity delivers what it promises, so I know from my life that Buddhism also delivers what it promises…

The promise of eternal life is indeed something to look forward to, though a share of it has already been found in Him here.

The free book offer is still on the table.

Take care,
JB

Truth can’t be relative. To say that the truth is what ever one belives, is to say that the universe, life, humanity etc…all came about in different ways for diferent people, and that’s not what anyone believes . I think it safe to say that everyone thinks (no matter how they think) that it all came about in the same way for all people and things, right? There are many attempts to explain it all, but ONLY one truth. That truth, I know to be found in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Some people disagree with me and believe they are correct, and they are usually not totally wrong. Many other religions have points that are correct, however, the most important fact is that Jesus Christ came and died so that we could have eternal life. That is the ONLY truth. The best explanation that I have found yet, is C.S. Lewis book, Mere Christianity. Its brilliant, understandable, and very difficult to refute.

Jesus Christ came and died
Hi
Yes, everybody who comes into this world has to die. Jesus died after the event of Crucifixion a natural, peaceful and respectful death in Mohallah Khanyar, at Srinagar, in Kashmir, in India.
So that is the ultimate truth about Jesus, as I believe, others could believe diffrently, no compulsion.
Thanks

Yes, but He did it out of his own free will, FOR US, so that we too could spend eternity with him. I don’t know of any other religion, that has “a God” that is so loving and self-sacrificing! Why would God create us, and give us free will? he loves us, and wants us to come to him freely, out of love, out of our own will. 🙂

Then you believe things about a “Jesus” who is unknown to Christians. The Jesus Christians proclaim is rooted in history – and what’s cited above is no part of that history.

It might be better if you picked another name for this person you refer to above?

Blessings,

Gerry

Are his remains there?

Hi
I believe in historicity of Jesus, only that you know his history up to Galilee from where he departed along with Mary to the East and died a natural and peaceful death in Kashmir, so I know the full history of Jesus and you know its quarter only. Catholics say he died on Cross at the age of 33 in Jerusalem, we Ahmadis- a peaceful faith in Islam say he died in Kashmir at the age of 120 years.
For that part of his life, which he spent in adjoining areas of Kashmir, please read thread:Tracing Lost Tribes of Israel in this forum.
Thanks

Hi
Your suggestion is welcome but the problem is that Jesus has died and we cannot name a person who has died. Mary did name him and it is a good name, I like it. Jesus ,Buddha, Krishna, Moses , Muhammad and Ghulam Ahmad etc, etc are universal religious heroes, nobody has any claim of exclusiveness on them. If different Christian denominations believe in Jesus despite stark differences which according to them could never be resolved like Catholics, Protestants and JW’s etc, etc, so the same is with different religions.
There are no two Jesuses, please don’t split him, I love him and Mary.
Thanks

Hi
It is quite natural that there nobody who knows everthing in the Universe. There are realities one does not know, the only recourse
is to increase one’s knowledge. It is not a Catholic belief that they know everything in the world.
Thanks

Hi
I appreciate you desire, but it is not possible to materialize , the Son of Man, Jesus died in Kashmir.
Thanks
